Generally speaking, there are a number of different obstacles that may or may not present themselves when shipping internationally.
-Drug dogs
-Xray scanner
-Visual inspection/profiling (exterior of packages/letters)
-Random Batch Inspections
-Hands-On Inspection (Customs agent actually opens the package/letter and searches the contents)
-Flagging packages sent from certain major known drug exporting countries or to major known drug importing countries.
A package shipped internationally could encounter anywhere from none of these obstacles to all of these obstacles and any combination in between.
A combination of stealth techniques and one or more decoy/diversion items are typically required have a good chance of landing successfully.
Also need to make sure you're filling out customs forms completely and properly. Sometimes weak or missing paperwork will make it, but often it wont and mail can get hung up along the way.
Every country has slightly different protocols for customs inspections and some will be easier to get into and out of than others.
To gather some ideas from scratch, you could always order a few items from international vendors with good stealth and decoy reputations. You'd be able to see how it's done firsthand and gather ideas from there.
You'll need to send it in such a way that most if not all of the above listed obstacles are addressed to some degree.
You can always gamble, too. And some people do by just sending that shit through raw and betting at least some slip through, but that's not a feasible play for most people and situations.
To get an idea of what kinds of stealth and decoys don't work, you can lookup the twitter/X pages or websites of the various customs departments in the countries you want to ship to. They often post pictures and descriptions of seizures from smugglers at the airports and also packages/mail. This is actually a great way to research the topic and an observant person can glean a LOT of knowledge from the seizure posts and photos. .
