It's amusing how they can't even withstand a single login session yet dishing out a 10-year ban . Since most markets now have incredible uptime due to POW and Desnake's absence (who used to pay ddosers to ddos other markets), there should be no excuse it simple falls on the fact that Abacus admin has been neglecting their servers. This is a lack of professionalism and negligence on the part of the Abacus team.

It was rolled out just last year, but have the sites started to implement Proof-of-Work Defense against DDOS attacks? Short version is the service sits dormant until it sees a flood/bot attack, etc. Then it wakes up and these crazy captcha puzzles kick in to high gear. During quiet times, every user will still get a challenge, but not as intense as what we are seeing.

I just read up on the concepts recently and it would be cool if someone could break it down for folks on the forum. Bonus if you have implemented POW, and share findings.
