Every morning, the first thing I do is log in to my dread account and read all the new posts. I spend my time researching content to share something valuable that can assist newcomers. I am deeply concerned and emotionally affected by this. It has demotivated and confused me. Our alt detection system correlated and banned a list of accounts which had rule breaking activity on it. In this specific case of https://torhoo.cc/go.php?u=TDNVdmFtVnpkWE5wYzJwbGR3PT0=# an account named /u/Iamgood was directly referenced. The account /u/Iamgood was spamming the following messages to people via their PMs:

When banning an account for actions like that we also have the option of banning the alts. Which we did in this case. There was a total of 5 different accounts which was banned.

The correlation model reports that https://torhoo.cc/go.php?u=TDNVdmFtVnpkWE5wYzJwbGR3PT0=# and /u/Iamgood connection is 100% confirmed. With about a 1 in a BILLION chance that it's made an incorrect prediction.

When talking about this in the modmail /u/Justiceforjesus was adamant that his account /u/teacher is his only alt. The chance of him and /u/teacher being the same person from the correlation model is about the same as /u/Iamgood. Unless you are sharing your account with someone this strong of correlation simply does not happen.

So what say you community? With this information did we make the wrong decision?

I live in a house with three other young individuals, including myself. The device I use to access the DN is a burner mobile phone that is commonly shared among us. There is a possibility that either of the other two individuals might have used this device to access different accounts. None of us were aware of each other's usernames for these accounts.
