Read up more about tails. Unless tails is actively running with literally all accounts logged in and persistent storage open, they can't find shit on it. You can set up a nuke button on tails too that legit nukes everything. It's pretty secure.

Like I said unless you're Pablo Escobar, tails is pretty sorted.

If it is good enough for governments, dissidents, and journalists, it is secure enough for me especially if I don't want to leave a trace on my laptop/desktop. for me tails is a must for my opsec (just for peace of mind). But like I mentioned throughout my reply, being secure is only as good as your OPSEC and your habits. This

Whether they used tails or not is secondary. Then not using tails is only a problem for us customers as LE can probably find shipping addresses, and information on customers. Their main lapse was bad irl opsec. Which are not changing where they ship from regularly, allowing themselves to get tracked down, keeping their inventory where they live etc.

Opsec is not just pgp, packaging items well and sending. It's a way of life.

LE has no incentive to lie. They like showing off and telling people how much smarter than criminals they are (they're not).

I was speaking to a few people and ketamelon had been shipping from the same place from when they started vending. It's pretty easy to get tracked down if you're in the same place for so long. Believe it or not our LE are slightly competent.

True, there were a lot of things this vendor did that puts into question all the glaze we gave. Behind the screen we don't know how bad a vendors opsec is. I wouldn't have guessed he did mistakes that he did not knowing the consequences or just getting lose with opsec overtime which is a bad mistake everyone should avoid

More reason to read the dnm bible and opsec posts to keep yourself safe. What you might know is secure yesterday, might have been insecure since you stop reading that article lol

So far from what I've understood the operation was codenamed "MELON" which means they already had tipping of this vendor.

Further reading into the news it says 3 packages were intercepted in Kochi on the 28th which means they were sending the packs, most likely from a location they do regularly. They traced the suspect from cctv and searched their residence. They kept their stash at home.

Bad opsec all around.

Let this be a wake up call for all vendors to up their opsec for their own safety if not for others.
Everyone who's dealt with this vendor clean house.

It takes a skilled one to find loopholes in the investigation. A lot like wrong diagnosis with a bad doctor. Good ones are rare but what they do is as good as dealing drugs

Just my 2 cents ITS ALL FCUKED. Ncb has been able to bust these guys only after they got to fcuked1, then came zambada and now keta. I did some digging a while ago and honestly there are cases on people around fcuked who got busted, a whole lot of people around zambada, but cases or chargesheet on fcuked is no where , I went to extreme depths to find. His name is there but no records otherwise. I feel fcuked is working with ncb and booking parcels for them from vendors here. There is a very clear pattern here. Maybe I am wrong , I wish I am wrong but LE in india don't know about kites etc. The detailed info here is absolutely new development for the law enforment around our country. Strange times are coming boys

This vendor used pgp and packaged his packs well, but other than that had no other measures to protect themself. They even kept their entire stock at home. Not a wise thing to do.
