Kingdom Market has likely been seized by law enforcement : KingdomMarket | Torhoo darknet markets

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA256

Dread staff has received information from a trusted party that multiple individuals, which had sufficient server access to Kingdom's infrastructure, have been arrested by law enforcement with their systems seized. We do not know, and probably won't ever know, the extent of the compromise. It is a shame, but with the current information provided, the chances of Kingdom market returning is from being down is basically zero.

I'll leave comments open for a couple days and then I will archive this subdread pending any new information.

Things like these occasionally happen. Make peace with it. If you have properly followed OPSEC while ordering on Kingdom you shouldn't have much to worry about. Clean house if you didn't.

Due to some questions if the seizure banner is authentic (the provided URL to bka is returning 404). Let's call our resident LEA for verification, /u/ncidetf care to provide some clarity? Authentic or a social engineering attempt?

It's possible they simply faked a seizure as a creative method of exit scamming, but given the confusion around a possible attack just hours before it happened, who knows. It's the same time of year that Monopoly got taken down though. German police like to keep themselves busy at Christmas time perhaps??

I'm skeptical on the basis that the website was online for several hours before going dark. The initial captcha page and such were all online, but the login portal was down.

I don't know the ins and outs of how darknet websites work, but would the entire service not go down all at once if taken down by law enforcement? The website page on the image doesn't exist either. Surely, if seized, they would ensure that the BKA link was online, or at minimum, make a press announcement?

I've felt uneasy from the moment this was posted considering the market admins - that we're aware of - were posting on Dread for 1/2 days before suddenly disappearing. I thought they were arrested?

If this turns out to be an exit scam, so close to Christmas, then all I can say is pathetic.

If this is true, that's the biggest and longest troll I have ever seen in my life. That onion has been posting updates for YEARS about the vendors they got. The site was released in 2019. It's the same PGP key all the way. Same fingerprint that was validated on dread too just with a different user id validation date (common practice for government agencies). If this is a troll that is just crazy.

If I remember correctly in the Beginning it also had an Identified Vendor list where they would move them over to the Arrested Vendor Side after they were Arrested.
/u/newbieforever2018 P

Ncide definitely did have such a list and a particular xanax bar vendor was listed on the list yet continued doing business. When I informed him about it he laughed and stated that his bars are flualp and he is fine.

hahaha i know who you're talking about me...I was using him at the time, and he told me that he wasn't worried because they had only "narrowed down his location to somewhere between "X" and "Y".....X and Y were very close. I stopped ordering after that.

Actually I was not talking about you. I just got a bad case of benzo memory and can't remember that vendors name. I had posted directly to him and he literally replied to me as mentioned above. Now I can read your review history to recall the name!!!!!

Oh no haha i just re-read what i wrote...i must have been benzo brained cuz i didnt mean to say me....i just meant i think i know what vendor you were speaking of and then talked about how the vendor tried to brush it off to me too like it wasnt a big deal....im thinking of xanaxusa aka therealxanaxusa...used to sell pressed single G's that were pretty popular for a while.

I believe that he started with real alp and transitioned when it because increasingly difficult to source. I could be wrong which would explain why his bars always smacked.

I tend to believe you are correct. He charged like 23 bucks per bar or more and only advertised smaller portions early on when he advertised alp bars and i think those were the real deal. At some point something changed as did his prices

/u/johnshade

Fuckin-a tweety.

I'd PGP-encrypt all content of every message, but I know it annoys vendors.
/u/Salome
2 points
I believe it is also important to add this caveat:

Do NOT write your address and encrypt it in the onionsite's notes/address field, either, if you're using plugins that allow in-place encryption of text. Use a text editor and copy/paste the encrypted output directly into the field instead.

Yes, there are few ways to dynamically sniff the data in those text fields, but it's absolutely not impossible (even in a NoScript + Tor + Tails environment).

Other than that, we really ought to do some public awareness of our own. For example, about 2 new markets pop up for every one seized. They're also one of the few means of getting pharmaceuticals that aren't tainted (if you research and pay for that "privilege"). And cartels aren't funded quite as readily.

Not to mention the whole "enforcing your will via state resources to stop people from doing things with their own bodies", but that's getting a bit too political for most.

But we definitely need a counter-propaganda arm. Hell, we could even fund representatives with clean cash if we organized well enough.
/u/Ohnoerman
1 points
A little confused by what you're saying. Are you saying that you shouldn't rely on PGP plug-ins on sites (which I would never do and is extremely lazy -- always use PGP yourself) or saying not to type plaintext in the text field then copy > encrypt > replace plaintext with PGP? As in they can sniff what's in the textbox without ever hitting a submit button? Wouldn't there be signs of that, and isn't that the point of disabling Javascript?
/u/Alohaamigo
2 points
That was my takeaway from their comment as well - copy paste from pgp, as opposed to using the sites encryption or a plugin. I agree this seems like info most users should know but it is always good to spell these things out as many users don't fully grasp how these things work.

Dude I wouldnt use darknet markets on a phone. At a practical level the captchas are going to be really small and hard to see. I use a laptop with a 15" screen and bohemia's captchas I have to save the image, open it in another app and view it at 200% to see it. I cant imagine trying to do that on a tiny phone screen.

More importantly phones are much more accessable by law enforcement. Ive seen quite a few cases in the news where they say "the subject was under investigation so they got a warrant to access their phone..". Im not saying thats still not possible with a small hardened linux setup like tails, but its alot harder and ive personally never read about a case where it happened. I would think if it happened to someone that person or perhaps their friends (you shouldnt tell anyone your buying from the darkweb but if your in a small town in the midwest and show up at your buddies house with a ball of opium it doesnt take a DEA agent to figure out the local dealer didnt suddenly get a direct middle east hookup) would of told people about their case.

Take $100 and buy a used PC or laptop and use tails.

The VPN isnt really protecting you like you think it is. Tor is already hiding your identity.

Dude pc and laptops are more easier and vulnerable to be hacked. And using vpn with wifi connection will hide your identity with a android phone. Specailly a phone thats not activated and you only use wifi. Its easier to track your i.p on a pc and laptop

I just do not understand (and likely never will) WHY governments (supposed to be working for the people and the greater good) continue to spend MILLIONS of our taxpayer dollars to go after and shut down the SAFEST and LEAST DANGEROUS (assuming you are not a schmuck and do your homework, research, and tests etc.) ways that THE PEOPLE created to be able to sell and trade things that 99% are for personal use anyway and be able to do it safely, and without harming others.

Sometimes I feel like they shut these sites down for the corporations that own the politicians. (I.E. BIG pharma)

It has become obvious to me as of late that most of the "BAD" and "DANGEROUS" aspects of illegal drugs come directly from the fact that they are illegal. From Cartels fighting to innocent children taking a Xanex that was actually fentayl. People hiding behind locked doors to use and dealing with shady dealers in the streets.

What good comes from these sites being shut down?

I am asking sincerely if anyone has a good argumet, I am open to listening and learning.

I just can not see any valid reason for governments to continue this unwinnable and RIDICULOUS "war on drugs"

People WANT DRUGS, and likely ALL OF THEM do on some level, wether they admit it or not.

It has gotten to te point where there is more HARM in keeping them illegal at this point than regulating and taxing them like the least dangerous drug of all tme.

ALCOHOL

smh

That says it all I think. Hey at least in 2023 no one is going BLIND from it being illegal like a hundred years ago!!!!

The admin of Archetyp wrote a long, well thought out letter addressed to law enforcement and other interested parties. Worth reading as it echoes the same points you're making.
As for the reason and logic behind all this? Old school politics and racism. Plain and simple. It's practically embedded in our culture now as Northern Americans. Lock up the drug dealers, ship off the druggies to rehab, war war war. America is always at war with something or someone. When we got too bored fighting hippies with guns we invaded Iraq for some oil.
/u/JankyCoyote
4 points

I feel that post missed a very major point: the war on drugs isn't about making things safer or even going after criminals. You can cry about the hypocricy all you want and they don't care because the stated goals were never the actual goals. It's about justifying the ability to go after whoever they want. It has been, since it's very inception, a tool focused on disrupting groups that are, or might pose, a disruptive threat to keeping power with those who already have it.

A persistent XSS is not just a Minor bug, it's just lucky I am the one that found it and never used it against them. What prompted the weird feeling?

I've had a weird feeling today with Incognito, because of a vendor's very unusual activity, or lack thereof. It's convoluted to explain why I sensed something weird, and it's just a feeling that is probably nothing.

It remains unexplained, however, with the vendor still nowhere to be found, contrary to their habit and stated policy.

I had a vendor that claims to be a long time vendor from several other markets send me a package with signature confirmation. This is an extra cost to the person shipping, so it couldn't have done by mistake. He then tried to blame me for it. Of course, no one signed for it and it will be returned somewhere, but it just seemed really weird to me how it all played out. i'm leaving out a few details to remain anonymous

Hey,

Find this seizure banner very suspicious to say the least....

1 - its just an image not a live web site.. it contains no hyperlinks excuse me if I am incorrect but I thought they were always a proper page.
2 - The "fallen kingdom" is highly unprofessional, I couldn't see a police force paying a graphic designer to create a new logo
3 - Who contacted Paris with the exact info so early....
4 - Please if you visit the site view the page source, the seiazure notice is just one image.... this is looking pretty suspicious and it will look bad if this is the case for Dread... real bad....

Look I dont see any reason for the admins to go to such extremes for an exit scam but that seizure notice looks as authentic as my ADIDAZ SNAP PANTS.

so useless! kingdom is going down, 10 other markets reopening... the fact that this campaign was carried out shortly before christmas holidays tells me that the government waited until as much sales as possible were in the wallets.

above all, what does this action bring? now they searching servers for fingerprints but every reasonably intelligent vendor encrypts his transactions, so they can't get any big fish with such actions anyway. those who get fucked are mainly customers... and who are the customers? usually drug addicts, i.e. people who don't lead an easy life anyway. that's like going out on the streets and charging homeless fines for sleeping outside. our society is completely screwed,

consumers who are addicted and have no other options because of their addiction are criminalized and their lives are destroyed by the goverment. It's not the addict who destroys his life with drugs, it's the goverment that destroys the addict through completely idiotic handling of the issue of drug addiction. 2024 and our society is still at the level from 1960 when it comes to the topix drugs.

It’s weird, my last order they were doing a sale for FE. I got 4grams of blow for $140. I couldn’t pass it up. The vender was one I’d used before so I trusted them. I received my order today so I wouldn’t have been able to release the funds. I hadn’t seen do a FE sale before.

What a shame ... und wieder geht einer off und der nächste on.

Hope this turns out to be false, but full trust in Dread staff. I noticed the login page was down for several hours before the whole site went totally offline.
They also mentioned Sunday they would be back within 24 hours, but that has come and long gone.

My most recent purchase, the seller hadn't accepted the order for several days so I was intending to cancel it and take my money back. Never lost money on a DNM before but here we are. By far the best market in my opinion.

/u/[deleted]

This is the main incentive for markets to exit scam.
Bad news!
The market has been down for 2days, so I back to dread and saw this news!
Fortunately about 2k USD fund in escrow has been released recently.
I always stop accepting new orders when the escrow fund is over $500.
Here is my personal suggestion for vendors based on several years' experience in darknet:
Just consider your escrow fund as they will be lost, fix a threshold that you can afford to lost.
Just reject new orders when the escrow fund is over your threshold and the customers are not willing to FE.
Record the customer's username and contact them back when you are ready to accept new orders.
This is how I survive in darknet markets for several years.
Do we know where they were based country wise and what law enforcement arrest them, FBI, Soccer, Dutch police etc. Also do you think they will be arresting vendors soon?

It could be also quite possible that a market that uses an on-site-PGP-encryption and accepts BTC (Was this the case?) can easily be run by the adversaries themselves. Remember the Anom and Encrochat - a perfect honeypot game. It could be an interesting free game hunt, cheap honeypot to just run the DNM and let the people compromise themselves without any action from the side of the adversaries.

Lets see the development.

THis is getting stranger by the minute, I am not going to pretend I know whats going on so please help...

as I understand it, market is seized and the admins are free? because I read a post that they were active within the past 24 hours... then I see a signed pgp message apperently on DREAD from LE using the admind accounts showing off announcing they seized the market. How would this be possible... I mean honestly if you write down your PGP password you dont belong running a market, if the admins were arrested the logical explanation is that LE could only recieve your PGP details if you provided them, and once again you dont belong in the criminal world full stop if you dont understand only self harm can be achieved by speaking to LE and handin these private keys over would be like sahying im already gettting screwed hard enough, but lets turn it into a gangbang and dont supply the vasoline.... Just makes more sense that they havent really been seized and they are pretending to be LE.... WHY WOULD they do this ?? perhaps to stop vendor investigation into stolen funds... I dont know can someone please guide me?? Also I have heard there is main stream news coverage could someone please provide me links (use messages to do so as clearnet links not taken to kindly by the public of DN)

Also were is /u/HugBunter ?? You are the security expert of the DN and we all follow the rules you teach us so I expect you to be tip of the spear when it comes to the intel.

This is a clear exit scam.

kingdommarket.so now after some seconds redirects to kingdom-mkt-seized.com, http://kingdom-mkt-seized.com/Kingdom%20Domain%20Seizure.svg which has clown "seizure" photo which further differs from the previous one.

people i rang the BKA and i take back what i previously said about it being a fake seizure... it appears to be true, I didnt record the convo as this would be illegal.... The gentlemen who answered the phone never agreed or denied the seizure but he did state he was aware of what i was talking about.... So i guess its true and now I feel comfortable to write my article for the my clearnet news site....

thanks guys

Also, someone mentioned if you have proper OPSEC you shouldn't have too much to worry about.
Here's what I do. Boot tails from stick, connect to tor. Configure settings to "safest".
As a second line of defense, I even do the about:config to make sure javascript is off (Oddly enough, it is usually still on even when I set my browser to safest. Maybe it takes time?) Once I have my browser secure, I then import my saved bookmarks (which I'm starting to wonder is a good idea). And then navigate to the site I want. I always pgp my address and any identifying info. I verify links (most of the time). I verify signatures.
Is there more I could be doing? I use tails on a usb stick but sometimes I boot from a different computer, a better performing computer which also happens to be my personal computer, which I don't love but it's soooo much faster. Is there anything I'm missing or is there anything I could be doing better or more of? ANY feedback would be greatly appreciated. I'm not a complete noob, been fkn around on the dn for over a year now. But still get nervous that I'm missing something. Anyone relate?

Bit of a random question / comment - but on Kingdom when you were transferring less than c. EUR 5 in value to your wallet - was it lost or what cos I had a chat with an admin last week as needed to top up my balance by a small amount to place an order and they said small amounts could not be transferred and money was then lost and could not be returned which I found weird.

So users can find the post breaking the news about being busted ya dunce. Once all the smoke has cleared and staff has removed modship and locked the sub, etc, the /d/superlist will in fact be updated as it always is in these situations.

Related issues about Bohemia should go in the megathread, that's all there is to it.
We can't have /d/Complaints showing 50 posts on the main landing page regarding Bohemia etc.
Give other complaints the respect they deserve, so users could beware and avoid. make sense?
