Kleopatra ? : privacy | Torhoo darknet markets

Hi everyone

Does anyone here use kleopatra? If not, do you have a better one?

I feel like I'm the only one using it and if it really sucks why?

Sorry if the question sounds sillytr

Kleopatra is the go-to if you're using Linux, but it's far from perfect when it comes to UI/stability. I just wrote a tutorial for it. Take a look /post/a711c217b8870b2b9d49.
As an alternative you can use GnuPG but it's a command-line interface so... Not that convenient, either. We have a brand new tutorial for it, too /post/e38f9957f595b6d102e1.

Perfect, thank you, but it's been several months that my kleopatra has trouble launching it often gets stuck on loading and when it finally finishes... if it finishes. I have to kill the proccesus to restart it and have access to my pgp keys. I don't know if this is normal. I've already looked for a solution but nothing works, so I don't know if it's possible to use another app (windows) while keeping my keys from kleopatra.

Kleopatra as a PGP client works fine for basic encryption and signing tasks. It’s widely used and generally reliable.

That said, if your threat model includes the feds, the tool itself is the least of your worries. The bigger issues are how you protect your private keys, the security of your device, and whether your OpSec is solid overall.

Feds don’t just break encryption—they exploit mistakes in key management, endpoint compromises, metadata leaks, and human errors. No PGP client alone can protect you if your system is compromised or if you slip up operationally.

So Kleopatra isn’t “bad” in itself, but it won’t save you from sophisticated adversaries if your overall setup isn’t secure.
