Legally protect monero with next US elections ? : Monero | Torhoo darknet markets

I know it sounds stupid but trump & biden are seeking votes from crypto bros.
We should spam or bomb their forms/mails to legally protect Monero & privacy-coins against any kind of sanctions like a 2nd amendment

Well, they cant totally ban it bc SCOTUS would have something to say about it on 1st amendment grounds. Both code and money are forms of speech.

Yes, but I'm sure they would argue that "money" can only be defined as state-sanctioned currency.

You can sanction anyone in the world, monero is protecting against dangerous governments.

Something like their "you have nothing to hide" should be found like "you don't have to worry about privacy or anonymity if you don't seek fear from society"

Also "instead of making war against technologies, you should accept people accepting to pay taxes"

"Governments" have very little power. It's the ruling class of the place, the major shareholders in the military industrial complex, which can assassinate the President and cover it up for 60 years. There's no greater baffle on democracy than privatization.

That makes no sense and they have no interest in that

"Money laundering" has existed before bitcoin or monero and bitcoin is still more used than monero for illicit activities even it's a bad choice.

By thinking like that, Tor should also be banned since it hosts illegal websites and phone carriers in jail, for facilitating communications between criminals.

Yes exactly, thats their opnion sherlock ,they don't ban it cause they can't.

They are delisting monero from exchanges because of AML and regulatory concerns and you believe they want to protect monero lol

Brainless opinion.

I ain't gonna argue about this, a toddler can understand why government won't ever protect monero.

As I understand it, the main reason Tor is not banned is because the government also benefits from the existence of an anonymity network. It allows for agents to communicate with their superiors anonymously, so it is ultimately in the eyes of organizations like the CIA, worth the "downside" of people like us using it for so-called "evil".

That's a fair point. I'm not so sure it's the main reason but it is at least a reason.

Governments will never like Monero, even if it's used for constructive purposes. I'm actually starting a project to make freedom tools like Monero available to more people. and remove the idea it's used for crime and money laundering. Cash and banks do that already well enough.

Sounds like a nice project. Feel free to give any more details that you can (maybe even a full post on like /d/activism or /d/politics ).

There is no salvation through technology, only through power. If you lack power, all the technology in the world won't save you from capitalist totalitarians who will block residential ISP endpoint interconnection, kill any non-backdoored encrypted network traffic, and triangulate any mesh router you setup.

technology gives you power.
