Good riddance. I had enough with "Need a photo of your ID" kind of BS in LBC anyway. Pressure makes diamonds. After /r/DarkNetMarkets closed we had Dread. We need a more specialized, anonymous crypto-exchange hidden service.

You can still buy prepaid cards with cash and use them, though, I'm assuming?

I've never used, but what about something like Wall of Coins? Set up a burner phone number for cheap, new clean email, etc. for the account. No ID verification needed or anything like that, I'm pretty sure. Also, you can use cash. You need a money order, sure, but whatever, and then you just go to the bank and wire money into an account (well, deposit the money order as cash into an account). Coins go into the BTC address you provide. No real name or anything has to be on the transaction, and you don't even need to give your name to the bank when you deposit the money order into the account since it's just a deposit.
Then just transfer those coins around into your more secure wallet(s) and bingo. Time is kind of tricky, from what I heard, though... after the money deposits the BTC seller has to verify to release coins which ya know could take time.

What do others think of this? I've been tempted to try it, but unsure.
A money order is not cash.

Not as big an issue as it sounds. First, most big in person cash buyers/sellers moved off LBC years ago. They all operate within a off the net community now. So as long as you got a nice built up rolodex you are good. For everyone else there will be people advertising in forums and other places. It might be harder to find guys now but all you need is one or two good contacts and you are set. And usually those contacts are plugged into the community so you can network off him.

I actually moved from LBC to coinbase, lol. I only purchase a few hundo in coin at a time. For major buys I still use LBC.

Don't know if to take this as a sign the BTC is about to shoot past the moon.

LBC vendors prefer to do off line transactions and it is very easy to get them to do so in the name of OTR TX.
Dropped them long ago, like another user said, most have their own eco system off line.

Next step that bypasses everything, call the number on the side of the BTC and tell them you wish to do an OTR TX, they most of the time will come out and do so with less fees than the machine itself.

Just remember not to ever incriminate yourself by chatting about your dealing on the DNM’s.
