Hmm... Depends. The Macbook track-pad is godly and the reason why I would chose a Macbook over a Razer. The M1 chip in the mac is extremely fast, so if your okay with running arm I'd go with a M1 Mac. If you want to run x86 programs natively through then go with the Razer. There's no point in getting an Intel Macbook now because of M1 domination. Personally a good track-pad is the most important thing to me when purchasing a laptop, and linux (i'd hope you'd run linux on the Razer) track-pad drivers are not good, and windows are not much better (even with windows precision).
You can, but not all distros support it. However the ones that do are quick. Track-pad experience will not be as good with Linux though, but that's just be LOL.
You've to mention that if you want to use Linux it has to be an ARM distro.
Therefore not all distros are available but Ubuntu, Debian or arch are not a problem.
I prefer to stay with OSX and use UTM for VMs.
Otherwise the Razer is not a bad choise but i dont know how well they age...
