i need a safe xmr wallet i can download onto my mac. i've had bad experiences with tails (mac problems iykyk) so i can't use anything tails related and i'd rather steer clear from the Cake wallet, not a fan of having anything DN related on my phone. for bitcoin, i had electrum, anything like that?

also does the xmr process work kinda like btc?
like btc exchange -> btc wallet -> market

Configure it with a remote node from moneroworld.com

Most people get XMR by buying BTC from an exchange with fiat, send to electrum, send to coin swapping service for XMR, send that to the Monero GUI, then send to market.
