Market's vendor payment question : DarkNetMarkets | Torhoo darknet markets

Why does most of the markeplaces require payment to be a vendor?

why they don't just use the rating system to "verify" a vendor, using pgp or other stuff?

a lot of markets will waive the bond for established vendors

the payment is to prevent scammers with no history from setting up shop for free and ripping people off.

i get this but everyone can gather some money to scam either way, money is not a way of verification, for me it looks like its there to gain profit directly.

any scammer can invest money to find victims and they do it a lot without even thinking, especially when some markets request small amounts to be a vendor.

it probably just annoys me that there is no real reasoning around it except saying its there to prevent small scammers to pop up and start spamming scams

thanks for the answers

Hello my friend,

It’s clear that the fee is meant to generate direct profit running a market and covering all the associated expenses doesn’t get paid with passion alone...
The idea of filtering out low-level scammers is valid: it's unlikely that a scammer just starting out has the budget to pay the vendor bond on a “serious” market.

What I don’t understand is how you even get scammed by a vendor through a market, if the market provides escrow.
Even if they don’t ship, you can always open a dispute.
I imagine the only way to get scammed is by not caring much about the money, maybe by not extending the escrow in time.

Best regards

If you don't have money for the bond you don't have money for the vend.

There would be many small vendors and scammers. No one would want to risk getting scammed, making it difficult to find the first client.

"Verified" vendors are getting free vendor bond always but every market rate the "verified" differently.
