My personal opinion here,the entire situation feels suspect. i'm not sure how involved US of fucking A is but Modi is demented enough that I dont think they'd want to get their hands dirty in the slightest with Indian politicians. AFAIK It seems Modi's actions align with US interests, as the poor living standards and lack of opportunities drive away anyone with ambition.
The recent Modi-Trump interview revealed Trump's clear righteous intent to not only throwing Modi under the bus but driving the BUS himself lol. Trump is more nationalist when it comes to Modi pretentious FAKE nationalism. In the same interview a USA Jurno asked Modi something along the lines of Ambani, L-o-v-e-d it! but his response!?! Same incoherent BULLSHIT. Another interesting thing Trump revealed about some riots was "no USA involvement", it was all "PLANNING" and "HARD Work" of 100s of years of MODI/RSS regime. LOL TRUMP GOT NO FILTERS and DONT GIVE A FUCKKKKK, which is what freedom loving people see in him.
