Monero CLI Initial Monerod Sync Help : Monero | Torhoo darknet markets

Can someone who is familiar with the Monero CLI help me out? Unfortunately, I am running Windows on x32, so I am unable to use the Monero GUI application and seem to be stuck with the CLI. From my understanding I have to run Monerod initially to sync the whole blockchain. This seems to be taking FOREVER. I have let the program run for two days now and it is only at 5% synced and says the estimated download time is 5.9 years. How can I expedite this. Is this a necessary problem?
Will I have this same problem when I install Monero on my TAILS USB card as well?

Thank you!

You never need to download the blockchain if you dont want to because you can always use a remote node.

What Tor?
You said you are using Monero on Windows.
Using Tor remote nodes on Windows is useless because you would need to manually install Tor and configure the torrc and your wallet will still make connections over clearnet.

As far as i know the GUI should find clearnet remote nodes automatically or you need to input them manually.
Dont know about the CLI.

For Tails or Whonix you can use the guide in this sub's wiki because Tor remote node are not found automatically.
Even manually typing the IP and Port on Tails/Whonix should work too but a Tor remote node would be better than generating unnecessary exit relay traffic.

You don't need the blockchain. Don't start the demon.

Start the cli wallet with remote node option.
