hi i am trying to send a encrypted message to a DNM vendor with kleopatra on tails, i know the basics but having trouble of where to put the vendors key so they can read it and do i use there public key, finger print or just the name? thanks

You have to import the vendor public key into your key ring. Then you will be able to encrypt message for them. Check the tutorial /post/a711c217b8870b2b9d49 and come practice on /d/pgppractice.

Hello friend,
Fortunately, Kleopatra is simple to use. Let me briefly explain what you need to do:

Go to the market and copy the vendor's public key
Paste the key into Kleopatra Notepad and click import – then certify the key
Open the “Recipients” tab in Kleopatra’s notepad – select “Encrypt for:” and choose the vendor’s key
Now write your message – then click the button to encrypt it

Now it is a little more difficult to import the key, because you can no longer do it on the notepad. You need to open the text editor paste the key and save it as a key.asc and save it. Next you go to files, right click and open with kleopatra or whatever it says and should let you.
