Yeah but that's on specific posts that stand out, it isn't used in general to push smaller niche subjects above spam. It should just be used more in general, it was understandable in the early days because the page refreshed for every vote, I thought it would improve after I added the none refreshing vote system, but here we are

But the worst thing voting system is if account get down votes below 0 like -1 or more , the user needs to fill captcha in everyone ,
but if i got upvotes above 0 like 1 i don't have to , just ask captcha in first post that's it ....

some posts can have mixed opinions or some grp support this some are not, I think its not a that good practice

in my case i got 7 upvotes then again below 0 then again 5 upvotes then again below -1 , votes are not the issue but captcha
so if it's fixed it can be more user friendly

I think comments are considered , in my post some ppl don't like abt my topic but many ppl commented sharing different ideas
then against one posting something after that post only got 1 upvote after many down votes but got i think 40 comments and got many dm's too. so comments are pushing algorithm too ...

It irritates me as well when someone goes "Great post" and it's still at one vote.
I know bottles can't vote. I know /u/Phobos36 and myself upvote good stuff and downvote shit.

But I think 80% of Dread does not vote on posts or replies.

Voting is jacked on mobile as well, so the dumb dumbs using mobile contribute to that also.
