Node needed, what is it? : Monero | Torhoo darknet markets

There is one thing i am struggeling with right now: Nodes (remote and own nodes). I read some linked articles but it is overwhelming for me. Also i would have to buy a SSD, costs money and more days of nice summer gone. Do you need that with Threat level small buyer? Or is Feather Wallet enough?

I personally would never go back to a remote node. I may even have more than one local node.

Who said it has to be a SSD? I mean I personally wouldn't run one off of a HD, but you can get a 2.5" HDD and a USB case for it that would suffice on the cheap. I've had issues with the Monero blockchain and ExFAT file systems, so anything but ExFAT personally.

I cannot make that decision for you. I wouldn't want to say "Hey Remote node is fine" and you pick the wrong one and then was like "That Bacon fucker cooked my ass" or some bullshit. See where I'm getting at?

Yes i get what you mean thanks
Do you know if when using Feather wallet you should use the default nodes or some listed in the FAQ of /d/monero?

You're probably fine with Feather. Easiest and simplest way to go, imo.

i like that answer :) have become somewhat exhausted / tired lately
Do you recommend when using Feather wallet to use the built-in nodes (https://docs.featherwallet.org/guides/first-start) or some listed in the FAQ of /d/monero?

Feather manages its own remote node list by default. I would use that.
