Official Dread planned feature roadmap : Dread | Torhoo darknet markets

Hi,

I'm glad everyone is liking the site and my hard work is paying off. We're growing quickly and hopefully that won't slow down anywhere, especially when all of ForLol's shills arrive...

Small bugs have been discovered, nothing serious at all which was completely surprising to me because of the mess this has been to put together, it's such a huge platform under the hood and you don't even realize until you start to develop it, it just grows and grows, I didn't think it'd ever make a release date. I had to release it at the current point otherwise it may be too late with Reddit banning subs regularly, so some feature are limited such as the search, but this will all improve over the next few weeks. I thought i'd provide a roadmap anyway and use this as an opportunity to collect your thoughts on new features and provide your own suggestions for me to look into, I will update this list regularly and it will remain stickied in /r/Dread for now as there will be things I miss as I haven't slept once again, so sorry if I ramble on with a hugely incoherent post.

  • Search functionality will be improved and combined shortly as well as adding a /r/all sub to combine posts from all communities, since the homepage top posts display posts from your subscriptions only.
  • Some small issues with forms resetting due to the timer between posts will be fixed.
  • Failed mod mail/message posts reset the content of your message, so this will be fixed soon.
  • Will add the ability to make subs private/invite only.
  • Separate wiki page additions for subs.
  • Automoderator features are planned, but may take a while to get right.
  • Improving of onion filtering settings.
  • UI style bugs will all be fixed shortly.
  • Some improvements to the post sorting algorithms to match Reddit a bit more.
  • PGP 2-FA will be introduced.
  • Some sort of way to restrict sub creation better without the need to retrieve a key from myself.
  • Server will be upgraded soon to support the onion uptime checking, I won't be able to provide a specific timeframe as it is proving to be a large task to get it right and accurate.
  • More advanced moderation tools and theme options for subs will be implemented.
  • User and post flair to be added.

For any large updates, the site will be temporarily unavailable in a maintenance mode state, I will try to warn everyone before this occurs as you will be logged out during the completion. This may be a regular occurrence as I will be cycling through different servers for security and privacy reasons.

Thank you all for helping to build this community as a whole.

Great Project!
Finally a onion based and uncensored reddit alternative.

/r/dnm was censoring hardcore and also clearnet and reddit itselfs sucks so hard.

monitored by LE for sure.

How do you know this isn't monitored?

/u/metapod65 Well as long as any deals that take place or important discussings are done with PGP and such, it shouldn't matter. But it's not like Reddit isn't monitored or more likely to be?

/u/HugBunter the fact my comment that's a child is above the parent is a little weird just cause my score has more votes.

I'd like to see a feature added for receiving notifications on a topic. Maybe someone posted a topic you're interested in, could check a box to get notified for any updates to said topic. Just a thought.

/u/Batman I can add post favorites, quite easy to do, I'll try to include it in the next update, thanks!

How exactly would you imagine that working? Per sub (as the topic) or certain topics within an individual post? I don't know how I could correctly detect it unless it's a specific broad keywords OR based on topic flair (which is being added but I forgot to add to the list and I will do now)
/u/Batman
2 points

/u/HugBunter If the implementation of something like that is not realistic, perhaps another option? For example, some way to quickly access a topic you are interested in without saving links outside of the website: a favorites list or when you view your own posts in your profile (I see currently it only shows topics you've started, not all posts you've made). I'm thinking about when this site grows to the point where there are many topics and subs to wade through.

I understand some of these things may be more difficult to implement behind the scenes than they appear to the end user, so only suggestions :)

/u/HugBunter Uh, the alerting by flair could be probably pretty simple and useful.

As for the keyword probably sub specific seems difficult to search the entire site for "Xanax" or "DMT" but if you're interested in those and have them favorites in /r/DarkNetMarkets any time a thread made with those keywords in the title or body or maybe you choose when favoriting it could be quite good.

Maybe to make it easier have a list of key words, e.g. lsd, mushroomss......
and people can tick a box to enable/disable use, over all or specific.
Sorry for butting in just a thought that I thought might help

A vendor superlist would be nice. Obviously it must be structured in such a way that:
1) You can search a vendor by the product they're selling and the country they ship from.
2) You can leave a review, but you need proof (picture of the completed order w/ the product).
3) The review average is a weighted by reputation average (so if a user with 0 rep votes 0 stars but a user with 200 rep votes 5 stars, the vendor average is 4 stars). <- This feature is not necessary, but we need a way to tell which review is legit and which review is not.
4) For proof checking, it could be something that we users do on our own (obviously the user checking the proof must have a certain amount of rep).

I plan to work on a Grams replacement service next, so this should cover your points. Dread is not centered around Vendors specifically and is for all discussion similarly to Reddit, so I would not be managing such specific things here, other than the marketplace list of course.

/u/HugBunter +1'd as well as /u/Batman hahaa. Much needed Grams replacement/and a better one at that and I'm sure HB's/HB's and Syntax's would be better.

Grams seemed like a great concept when I was a nooby but was never properly useful except for verifying PGP keys.

Just one small thing: incomplete words at the end of a line in a post are split between lines, rather than the word starting on the next line.

Obviously this isn't important at all, just thought I'd let you know.

/u/HugBunter pleeease implement comment history. It's extremely useful when trying to remind yourself where you had a conversation with someone, or to see if a vendor has been commenting about upcoming status changes (leaving vacation, running low on stock, etc).

They don't always make posts about it, so I'd like other means to uh... stalk them. :-D

is there any plan to add a row of subscribed subs to the top of each page? it's a bit cumbersome/confusing to swap between subs

Also, when loading multiple tabs, the last tab loaded invalidates the captchas/tokens on all the previous tabs. Is there a way around that? Sorry, I know *zero* about coding a site

Stay safe!!
