Instead of having a permanently dedicated space for that area, the promoted post space will be displayed in a shared, rotating sequence with other advertisers. We generally do this after a big exit or seizure, like the one which just happened.
Here's how it works:
- Cost: Each slot costs $500.
- Duration: Every slot you purchase adds one day to the overall duration of the rotation pool.
- Visibility: The more slots you buy, the greater the chance your promoted post will be shown to the community. Your ad's frequency is directly proportional to the number of slots you own relative to the total.
For example:
- If A buys 5 slots, B buys 10 slots, and C buys 20 slots:
- The total rotation period will be 35 days (5 + 10 + 20).
- C's ad will appear 4 times more often than A's, and twice as often as B's.
- B's ad will appear twice as often as A's, and half as often as C's.
