OpSec - using UPS mailbox : DarknetMarketsNoobs | Torhoo darknet markets

What are yall's thoughts on using a UPS mailbox to receive drops? I know people have hesitations about using a USPS PO box. I already have a UPS mailbox (in my real name) that I've sent tons of legitimate packages through because package theft is an issue here. They hold the package for you behind the counter until you pick it up, there's no physical mailbox I can check. Do the concerns about a USPS PO box still apply? Are there new risks from going through the UPS store? The only other thing that stands out is that if a vendor ships something in just a normal mail envelope, not a "package", it would stand out because I don't ever receive normal mail there, only packages.

made a burner to comment on this bc i don't want people to connect the dots if i mention this on my main acc, but i work for the ups store and we don't give a fuck what's in a dropoff/pickup package. doubly so for post office stuff because it's a federal crime to open other people's mail. only time we investigate is for ups packages where we have to pack it or create a shipping label in the store, and it's moreso to avoid the repercussions of us shipping hazmat, firearms, etc and getting fined as a store. we check id but don't scan it when people pick up at the mailboxes, and my store has never had any sort of situation where postal investigators try to get involved regarding someone's mailbox. also when checking out multiple packages, one signature clears out all of them in the system so that may allow for some sort of plausible deniability because the recipient didn't specifically sign for their DNM parcel, they just picked up all of their packages and signed to show they picked up all of them.

i think it's pretty safe for the most part, besides the fact that they have a log of you coming in to pick up packages. but afaik that isn't a permanent record, and also some stores don't even bother logging all packages. one of our regular business mailbox customers will get a handful of parcels almost every day, and stops by every day to pick up. so we don't even bother scanning them in, we know him on a first name basis and just hand the packages over to him with no log of him signing for them. so if you get friendly with your local ups store homies (if your store is staffed by people that aren't weirdo freaks like some ups store franchises i've seen), you'll probably have a better time using your mailbox for packs.

sounds like a good idea if you don't have an address you feel safe ordering to but the only thing is if they are asking for identification to pick up your packages that negates your plausible deniability in case you get caught.

i've never had them ask for any identification before (other than when I signed up for the mailbox, then I had to give 2 forms of ID and used all real documents), I just tell them my mailbox number. They log the packages when they receive them, but they don't appear to scan/log anything or interact with their computers when I pick up, they just find the package and hand it to me.

I feel like I have as much plausible deniability with UPS as I do ordering to my home address. The plausible deniability argument is just "I didn't order that package, someone must have sent it to my house/my UPS box for some reason", I'm not really sure how signing for it with ID changes the plausible deniability? When I get a text saying I have a package, I just show up and get it. I think if I try to claim that I didn't even pick up the package the police could probably get access to security camera footage and confirm it was me. I'm not sure though.

The situation with a po box or similar compared to your house is that your house address is public information where a po box is something no one else buy you would likely know.

I don't order large amounts, under 3.5g of powder usually - order to my box once in a while. No Issues.
