Typically, I will take a 200mg modafinil very first thing in the morning like 6am, it has an effective span of around 8 hours, then when I start to drift, I allot myself 100-150mg of c-hcl in the afternoons as needed, so I am not relying solely on the c-hcl. I have a pretty intense job that requires a lot of mental focus not to make errors, so that's how I would play it. But chemistry is different for everyone.
Now I'm going to suggest she try to get modafinil because it looks perfect for her if she tolerates it well.

It's funny, it actually operates a lot like c-hcl, and I have tried a lot of different adhd meds with lackluster results.
The modafinil keeps me grounded and wakeful so my brain doesn't wander, and it also helps me to be present vs. the adderall, which would turn me into a robotic asshole; I don't like treating people poorly, so it wasn't a fit for me.

I have seen a few DNMs selling modafinil, it's also relatively cheap in comparison to the other stims as well.
There is apparently one afinil analog that is supposed to be similar to cocaine except it lasts for 8 hours, I am still looking for that one lol...
