Different PGP software will add comments sometimes. They're only for human eyes. It doesn't affect the key at all. You could generate a plain PGP key with no comments and add in your own if you wanted to. Just format it correctly so it won't mess with anyone trying to import your keys. In my opinion I like seeing comments on PGP keys. I can see stuff like a person's email right there before importing the key or check the expiry date at a glance. Just a nice feature to have, but you dont have to use it if you don't want to.

Another way to think about it is, if you've ever written code before, code comments. In python I could say
print ("Hello World!) #Prints hello world
and it would read the
print ("Hello World!)
but ignore the comment indicated by a "#".

I also use Kleopatra, if you go to my profile and look at my key, you'll see comments in there.

If you want to, feel free to remove those comments if you don't want them. Just make sure it doesn't break the key, delete the comment lines and copy/paste the key into Kleopatra as if you were trying to import it to make sure it still reads properly.

Hope this helps.

You can remove the comments using a text editor with your exported public key. See the Basic PGP Guide For Kleopatra in Tails in /d/pgppractice stickies.

Also, mate, you may want to read the DNM Bible from /d/DNMBible. The bible will give you a lot of opsec basics for the DN, including a section on PGP use.

No info given away that's not included in the key, nothing to worry. Helpful if you want to know if you have updated your public keys somewhere to avoid expiration.
