I can see on Kleopatra an extend validity option but not sure if this will screw up anything or no. So would like to know if it will be all good to extend it or will cause any problems?

The easiest thing I would suggest is export your public key to an ASC/text file
Extend your key
Then export your "new" public key to another file
Literally look at both of them with a text editor and compare
They will be different if you extended it properly.

Your secret key would be different too, but yes, the public key should be updated as well.
