PSA ARCHETYP Market Invite only now : DarkNetMarkets | Torhoo darknet markets

Since they don't have a Dread page anymore I figured I'd make a post. I just logged in and they feel like they've hit they're max level of users that they feel they can handle without becoming overwhelmed. Apparently this has been in their minds since day 1 so I just thought I'd let everybody know. Idk how many people use the market but I use it constantly its really reliable.

Archetyp is by far the #1 market, for site design and performance. I believe they are a more Eurocentric market. The options for my region are highly limited. But you can tell in the design there are some intelligent people there. They also offer an interesting take on market performance and exits.

I am relatively new to dread, but it's pretty clear dread is a very valuable hub for information. I would be interested to learn why an intelligent market operator doesn't have a presence on dread.

They did but there was some drama between Yosemite from archetyp and DeSnake from alphabay a while back about how archetyp used a clearnet site for users to gain access to their onion links. It was a whole fucking thing if you wanna read it theres a ton of arguing and DeSnake got pretty salty lol but I use both markets I'm not taking sides so please don't try and accuse me of shilling or anything like that. That's a general comment not directed at you.

/d/archetyp is still listed but you cant post. it has their exit dread speech though

Thanks for the link. I do not care enough to start an argument :). I was just curious. But I like what yosemite said at the end. Spot on.

I think the clearnet they used IP was exposed and other security concerns. It not like they left because they booted , they lefvt because they sucked tons of ass and the market was shit.

It's funny, because bohemia did the same exact thing as a countermeasure to ddos and the alphabay admin did not call them out for it.

Why do you take such a personal position on a market? It's just a website.

DeSnake called every market out for doing this and while he had a point and I do in fact agree with it, with the current state of DoS attacks, needs must. I think personally the benefits outweigh the smaller risks involved with these clearnet gateways with them acting no differently to any clearnet link directory such as DDF, DNL or TT.

With that being said, trusting them to run these sites securely and them having traffic that is knowingly directed to a single marketplace I do not think should be something long term and these sites have been running long enough now. The clearnet sites will shortly be banned from Dread once I can provide alternative options.

Totally agree. Ddos has gotten out of control and the lack of resiliency is causing some people to abandon the concept of Tor markets and take riskier options. I am using ip2, it's very slow, but works well enough to be a viable alternative. Yosemite mentioned that ip2 is less secure. I wonder if that is true? I did some cursory research, which is anecdotal, but indicates public opinion is that ip2 is more secure, as it uses garlic vs onion routing. That shit made me crack up :) Thanks for the insight on security.

Will the clearnet sites soon be banned, now that tor projects merge request 702 is on the way?
What will happen to Daunt?

I'm sure markets will shut them down soon and Daunt's clearnet site will remain running, it is a link directory after all and can still act as a legitimate gateway. But there will be a focus on the onion site.

Thanks for your fast response. I read from this that clearnet sites will not get banned.

I mean I'll suggest it, but I am under the assumption they would immediately shut them down so they aren't maintained regardless, they would be useless so I am sure they'd cut back on any of the needed infrastructure too.
Interesting development. We wish them the best of luck, and hope this is a good move on their part for their marketplace and customers.
