Qubes/Whonix Users: Disable TOR connection in Haveno : Monero | Torhoo darknet markets

This post is aimed for people using Haveno on a Whonix Qube.

By default, Haveno uses Tor to connect to the Monero network. This is redundant and not recommended when all traffic in your Whonix Workstation Qube is routed through Tor anyway.

To avoid the risk of a Tor-over-Tor scenario:
Go to Menu > Settings -> Disable Tor.

Don't worry - you are still connecting through Tor, as long as your Qube is using the whonix gateway to connect to the internet.

Go to Menu > Settings -> Disable Tor. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< not clear what menu you are talking about, dont think its within haveno? Come to think of it, why isnt there an option to disable haveno default tor if it recognizes its already on tor.
