I made a post about this when arche and the fake post was made telling us to wait.
PGP verification holds very little too, yes still do it but can it be 100% true? no all it takes is someone to give them up or be an idiot and leak them with cloud storage or something scenario like this.
So secret key could just be seized or handed over, 75% of people don't even have passwords for their PGP understandable for buyers but vendors it's just stupid.
Tip not relevant to the subject but ill share.
Also I know PGP keys are wanting to be kept the same to ensure trust but should more secure but considering changing them start being ahead and aware of future attacks, RSA & DSA algorithms most common cryptography used but with quantum computing being a more common thing and at some point months years decades whenever they will be able to crack the messages I assume so if you don't rely on your identity look at ECC.
Tails - Pretty sure you can just select ECC as an option, check advanced.
Whonix - use terminal gpg --fullkeygen (this is probably wrong)
(I'll add a guide and check to give more accurate information, im a little busy and dont know the command from memory)
I install Kleopatra in Whonix since I'm just used to it - but GPA (GNU Privacy Assistant) supports ECC keys I believe also. Obviously gpg does.
There's plenty of guides already in /d/pgppractice /u/pgpfreak no need to reinvent the wheel.
I know Abacus was toast four days beforehand. /u/MikeG69 did also. We tried to tell anyone who would listen.
This person has been around way longer than I have - /post/a6368a94db6370d212b7/#c-c63f6c28c80798449a
