regarding abacus i found a suspicious transaction : DarkNetMarkets | Torhoo darknet markets

so i followed my btc deposit through a couple of transfers and found a wallet that has $237k transfered to it 1 hour and a half ago, the address in quesion is bc1qgty07dylltge6xgvrtdxrhhhpemfwyjn4xqe5c

this lines up with what time the website was disconnected.... i may be spreading fud but i dont think its looking good

Some single vendors would have that in escrow alone no one is exit scamming over $230k, deposits and withdrawals where working roughly 7 hours ago when the site did come back online for a period. We received our withdrawal, the marketnet funds are most likely being pooled into wallets under their control while the site is being fixed before being distributed again.

Agree with that. Hell I spent almost $750 on the site, mostly on bars, in the past month. And Im small-time and just got started. Im sure there are plenty of people out there doing $10,000+ orders at a time with various vendors and combine that with the fact that some vendors have thousands upon thousands of sales on their record suddenly 250k isn't a very big number.

I help one person get oxys for personal use and they spend at least 5k per month on the markets, each order is at least 2500 and they order pretty frequently.. if a single person taking personal use is able to spend that much i can't imagine how much money the vendors have in their escrow/ market wallets from all the other customers and the people that resell.

to begin, you have WAY too much time on your hands,
for two, this is obviously a vendor's wallet not a mod or something. if this was an exit scam wallet it would have a lot more $$ in it.
for three, if this was an exit scam the site would still be accessible and letting you put more $$ in but not letting you take it out
for four, STOP SPREADING FUD, youre scaring the newbies

i am being realistic mate, im just following the pattern where this transfer was made likely by closing rpc channels which will close all customer wallets, collecting 230k and disappearing, its no secret abacus have been getting stressed out and being extorted by someone and also possibly have law enforcement on their mind, its very coincidental that such a large transaction is made forcefully sending all accounts forwarding to it to a 0 balance within the same 10 mins that everyones private links and main mirror link stopping, extremely likely huh, i believed it wasnt an exit scam even though i had issues since saturday night, but there past 10 hours have swayed my decision, as well as many more people in this thread.

the thing is, there are many more signs than some random act of useless time wasting you did here by combing through those transactions. a wallet getting those funds could have been done for countless reasons other than an exit scam when it is such an insignificant amount in the grand scheme of how much the website itself makes in one month alone.

May I ask how far down your deposit address was from the one you gave? You could be right in that this is a dire sign but a few things to note:

* Their BTC wallets are probably still working and moving funds around even though the site is down.
* Don't really know what their wallet strategy is, this could very well be funds moves to cold wallet as part of normal ops. I imagine most markets will put as much coin as possible into a cold wallet to protect it. This might be why their withdrawals take as long as they take - they have min funds on hot wallets.

I poked around some of the source funds for that wallet and it was kind of strange. Either most people are sending coin directly from an exhange or large pool of coin to the market or this are internal wallets used by market. Its definitely clear that the input funds aren't probably the deposit addresses from users. Almost all of those transactions will have 1 or 2 outputs depending if a change address is needed.

Here's an example, one of the input addresses from one you gave is this: bc1quf42zc76n0eq5t5wws8yfw9hmmy8jve2a2qmt0

That address received coin as part of another large set of transactions - maybe from an exchange? But when it gets sent to the address you provided, it is one of many inputs. So I guess that could mean people are sending coins directly from an exchange to the market. Or these are internal wallets to the market shuffling coins around. I thought a lot of times when LE had seized a market and moved coin to their own wallet, they tended to do so in one large transaction. yes, $250K is a decent amount of money but I can't imagine its the entire market's BTC wallet? Maybe less people use BTC than I imagine but I would have expected there to be millions of dollars worth.

I guess the big question is does the BTC address you give transact later? Or does it sit there. The address you gave was from 881 different inputs/addresses. So yeah, def consolidation of wallets in some way. Basically I guess what I'm saying is that it doesn't necessarily mean something bad. The fact that the mkt is done is concerning. But I don't know if abacus had a history of going down for extended periods of time (meaning many hours). Archetyp was rarely down and def got spoiled by that. I don't have enough insight into abacus to know if this happens.

Its strange that deposits weren't working yesterday, but then started to work. Some vendors have confirmed getting coin out earlier today. Others still waiting. Maybe they are really getting hit hard with DDOS. Maybe something else. Hopefully its not worst case scenario.

A few of the addresses sent multiple transactions which is odd. you'd expect one large transactions or hundreds of individual ones. I guess people are signing up and still trusting them with no proof of life or word from their admins.

I think they realized that now that the #1 was taken down, all of those resources were now going to be focused on them. 11 federal agencies were involved in this take down. That's 11 agencies that now are going to focus all of their DNM resources on them now. It's like when Bin Laden was killed, the #2 on the FBI most wanted was caught within barely a month.

I think they saw the writing on the wall and quit while they were ahead. Who knows, maybe LE contacted the admins directly and showed them they knew who they were? We'll never know but as much as it sucks for those that lost money, it was probably smart on their end. The era of the DNM is over. The agency cooperation is unprecedented, it's not worth it. The kids are on telegram, signal, whatever. It doesn't seem like TOR is so secure if 11 government agencies want you taken down. And that's only the 11 that want credit. You don't see the NSA on there seized website or youtube video. This is such an incredibly well rolled out seizure. They posted a fucking narrative youtube video on the take down. They're on top of it now.

That said, where are people going now?

Seen this pattern before. Could be liquidity reshuffle or backend wallet migration during maintenance, especially if site devs are trying to consolidate after Archetyp fallout. Wouldn’t jump to exit scam yet, not unless we start seeing funds blocked across multiple vendors and listings pulled silently. The 230k could be a vendor escrow dump or internal sweep to cold. Still keeping an eye out though, timing is sketchy as hell.

"...and listings pulled silently"

Oddly enough in the past few days a couple highly reviewed vendors pulled all their listings. But then oddly enough, yesterday, new listings were put back up, just as access to the site was fading. Turns out - their products were just out of stock and they put new listings up!

The point being - some things do turn out to be the world's greatest coincidences. So I guess I (sort of) remain hopeful Abacus will return.

That's what I'm thinking. They never announce a sweep to cold wallets when it happens, so why would they give an explanation for it now.

Anyone experiencing this with XMR?
In the span of 2 days, I managed to get some trust in Abacus (I'm one of thousands of Archetype refugees)
Then 3 smallish orders actually arrived and around 12h ago I deposited XMR again and over 230 confirmations I got a little panicked submitted a ticket, then much more scared after digging into what's going on here.
I got the same deposit address I received immediately after my last one went through, so I'm a little bit lost now.
If anyone else using XMR have been given the following address to deposit, well then enjoy being fucked in the ass. Takes some time to get used to for some, others start loving it right away... :))

86P2qKrmz7Cea9AXnkhLBdaKs1eEgpjZVGNRZyt3kCBNggTm4gg4y96T1McSPvoV14DQ2S48jeRBuTwRiVt4KHgg1FZZxei
IF YOU GOT THE SAME DEPOSIT ADDRESS AS ABOVE BE HIGHLY CONCERNED!!

We all are fucking tired and mad and angry but the mass hysteria going on because of that, might actually be causing more problems.
I'm holding on to the last slimmer of hope inside of me, my gut feeling from moving markets over the years is giving me VERY intense anxiety and grounds for concern...

I was probably just unclear because of hours of frustration, sorry.
That's exactly what I was talking about.
After 1 successful deposit to another address (orders arrived), the XMR deposit I was posting the one in my comment was shown.
I guess what I'm trying to get across, is that the deposit address DID NOT CHANGE since my one and so far only deposit.
So the rotation worked as intended and I can confirm, at least on my side, that in the last approximately 3 days it was static and NOT MANIPULATED.
I've read a lot of weird stuff, most about BTC tho, y'all gotta ditch BTC!!!
I hated it so much, I resisted switching to XMR for as long as I could, but it just is necessary nowadays.
To me (arch refugee, been on abacus for a handful of days) it is concerning when DNMs allow BTC at all.
If private vendor sites do, that's definitely less icky but my point stands.
I won't pretend to know anything about crypto and all that shit, but over almost 5 years of browsing the different biggest markets,
I'm feeling like there is something to it, I really didn't want to I had to because of Archetype I think?! Not even sure anymore after so much mania happening regarding seizures and exit scams and of course the lovely DDOSing creeping up more and more...
I can't explain the technical details, but to me BTC availability is a huge red flag!
That's at least what all the different market admins spread around increasingly over time and I was surprised to even see BTC options on abacus, in the year 2025?!
Just trying to help out and maybe find someone who is knowledgeable about XMR specifically.
I'm too dumb, frustrated, ADHD to the max and too high for all that.

I'm rolling up now, going out to touch and smoke grass and will come back to this mass outrage, of which I'm deeply part of, later.
I think we just gotta chill out and can't do shit about it regardless.
On top of that we are all spamming the sites to see if we finally get some good news, but are high-key contributing to the problem.
Lots of love to everyone and don't surrender your hope so rapidly! And that's coming from a Frenchman, maybe that'll get your hopes up or at least a smirk to some of you haha.

Peace out y'all, stop spamming like I did for hours on end now and am just getting more and more worked up about it...
It doesn't make a big difference whether we can log on now, or in a few hours/days maybe? Just take a chill pill and I'm lighting up now cuz after all that's the best thing to do atm...

Something interesting to note, I deposited XMR. I was going to deposit more but my address was the same as previously so I didn't. Not sure if it usually instantly changes when a payment is confirmed but it led me to not lose more funds.

My man is now a darkweb informant: mifengcha[.]com/news/68642c8b5c8dbe00115f6902

Online drugs marketplace Abacus Market has either been seized by US authorities or is performing an exit scam on its users following questionable bitcoin (BTC) transfers, according to Darkweb Informer.

This is why as a bulk buyer/offline "road" reseller i buy BULK BULK BULK.
I dearly hope for every ones sake it's innocent but i doubt Abacus wants to be the next focus being in the unwanted top spot, maybe their infrastructure wasn't built for such an influx of new users
Me? If...If this an exit/bust then i'm am the luckiest nigga alive people.
Never used Abacus until Past Sunday and only because a vendor i use for bulk Pharma was on there and i'd used them till the end of arch.
It wasn't too big an order, 2k £ but my man did his thing and its just landed ndd.
Not low key bragging just the truth.
But even then it was a nightmare to order in respect to all mirrors down then 30 minutes later i was back on with new balance.
...gotta admit sending 2k to a new address/market had me slightly nervous.

But yh, a lot of unlucky people, i been here on Tor since SR, lost money few times over the years so i feel your pain.
I'd like to pay him as it was Escrow so he lost more than just mine IF its gone so 100% if you can at least pay half then you both lost the same amount.
Chin up lads...

wow that is suspicious but not a smoking gun as during a time of maintenance hopefully all funds are moved for protection and not exit scamming. please all fingers crossed here

Actually Drughub is up next. They are going to be hit hard then turn over to LE. We have there servers. They think offshore hosting will help them.
