The reason for this is that /d/newmarkets has new rules compared to the past. They used to allow markets to launch publicly with little regulation, which they could fuck easily once they noticed. I guess now they keep things more internal and don't allow just anyone to launch. There are stricter requirements, which is a good thing. That's why you don't see as much mess there anymore. I suppose the issues have just changed to other things.

I really respect /u/valor98 for taking these actions because it protects the community as a whole. But I guess it makes things a bit less fun hehe.
