Running The DNM Bible On Tails When The Site Is Down : DNMBible | Torhoo darknet markets
Hey mates! Here is a simple guide to run the DNM Bible from the dread download on Tails, for times when the regular bible site (on right side panel of this sub) is down. The guide is Tails specific, but might give you some clue it you try it on another OS. No guaranty on that aspect.
All that being said, away we go!
Using the bible.zip File On Tails To Run The DNM Bible
Step 1 - Download the bible.zip file from any dread url by putting /bible.zip after the .onion in the Tor Browser address bar (example -- ****.onion/bible.zip), then press Enter
Step 2 - In the Opening bible.zip popup, click Save File in bottom right corner
Step 3 - On the left side of the save window, click on Tor Browser (persistent), then click Save in top right corner of the window (NOTE - You might only see Tor Browser (... on the left side. Click on the Tor Browser just below Persistent on the left side)
Step 4 - Open Files from Applications - Accessories -- Files
Step 5 - In the Files window, on the left side, click on Tor Browser (persistent)
Step 6 - In the Tor Browser window, double click bible.zip
Step 7 - In the bible.zip window, double click bible-2023-10-24
Step 8 - In bible.zip window, hold Ctrl and click on content and index.html
Step 9 - In the bible.zip window, click Extract in the top left corner
Step 10 - In the Extract window, click Extract
Step 11 - In the Extraction completed successfully popup, click close, then close the bible.zip window
Step 12 - Double click the index.html file to run the DNM Bible in Tor Browser
Step 13 - In future, when you want to open the bible locally, open Applications -- Accessories -- Files, navigate to the Tor Browser (persistent) folder, and double click index.html.
Please note - The reason we use Tor Browser (persistent) is Tor browser in Tails is set up so it can't access outside files in your system for opsec reasons. In case Tails were to be compromised they don't want Tor browser to be able to access a folder in Persistent Storage which could contain sensitive files.
