Should you be signing your order messages with staff / support PGPs too? : DarknetMarketsNoobs | Torhoo darknet markets

As long as I've been ordering I've never signed with staff keys on any market. Luckily I've never had any disputes either, but I was wondering if I should be including the staff so they can try to review the dispute better, or if its considered shit opsec because you're increasing the risk of your information being decrypted should a market be busted. I guess I don't get how disputes are even settled if staff can't see the original messages either though.

No, you shouldn't for the reason you mentioned. If the market get busted, so are your communications. In the event of a dispute, you will be able to share past messages with the market using session keys: /post/8949f83e97475cdbf923/#c-aff0d5a94d7440d495. It's not always necessary either.

An upvote for this. You should include it somewhere in your sub, this is very cool and something I was not aware of.

Edit - my gpg does not have a "--show-session-key" option. I guess I would have to upgrade. Damn whonix sometimes

All the credit goes to /u/DrugHub actually /post/fab38552341483c7da33/#c-687177e53c3114b8ea. And yes, it's a very sweet feature. I'll post about it soon.

Nothing is more important in a dispute then the record of the messages you have with the vendor. The only things that you need to protect with encryption are address details, tracking numbers and any other info that could link your market account back to your real identity. As a buyer or a vendor I always wanted my messages to be visible to staff to cover my ass. As you thought, disputes require that you communicate openly with the seller in the dispute thread

No.

I personally encrypt any message with my key and the vendors key. I could use that to prove what I sent (Correct address, etc)
I would NEVER encrypt with DN keys except for support tickets.
