The government is not going to waste time jamming up regular people buying 8ths or quarters of H. I know there's another dealer who is much larger who does not like Snowman because he was attempting to poach his customers and he started this weird rumor. I think it's more likely that snowman has pending charges and is still selling on telegram despite this because he's a retard. AFAIK he doesn't have large online connections to DTO's - those connections are likely in person. I'm not worried about it because 1. I'm 100% sure its not a honeypot and 2. I'm not part of a DTO and I'm not buying from him to resell.
But to address your first point, yes, he is fairly careless about OPSEC. I think 80% of vendors are careless about OPSEC except for a select few that I know for a fact to practice it flawlessly. The difference is the other 80% fakes it, and tells you that they're booting into tails and scrubbing every byte of your data after your order is shipped, when really they're not any different than Snowman. If the guy just lied about his OPSEC he'd get a lot more customers. The way to mitigate your risk is to use XMR and ship to an address of someone you don't really give a shit about if you're ordering over half an ounce. I think people here give the government too much credit while simultaneously not realizing that the government doesn't give a shit about 90% of them.
