that could be done pretty quickly considering the escrow and balances are in xmr wallets he controls the private keys for. transferring them all into one wallet could be easily scripted and wouldn't require a maintenance page to accomplish.

i don't think exit scam but more likely LE if it is still down.

Also, it is highly unlikely to be an exit scam. I suggest you read what /u/HugBunter said about the situation, in the megathread. Personally, looks like a seizure to me, and I'm losing hope that the website is going to come back without LE running it behind the scenes.
