Huh. What is this, Mission Impossible?

If they said this to you on a random phone call, I'd love to read the warrants lol. Wonder if there's any mention of a big, anonymous tip off.

They said he was unconscious when they raided the unit. So meaning either by some type of gas to make him unconscious or by some drug?

Could it be he was sleeping? That's something I'm often doing at 6am. And cops like to use complicated words for simple situations.

I don't believe this to be this case. From what was gathered he was using the computer and he fell unconscious from their actions, not his fault. He was unconscious at the computer

Interesting. Then it means LE used non-lethal force not only to apprehend him but also to collect evidence. That's definitively something his lawyer should look into.

Yeah, well, that's total and utter BS, the police department that made the detention doesn't do those hollywood movies stunts with tear gas shit. Just as an example, today as we speak they are conducting a major counter-terrorism set of detainment in Tarragona, and this is how it looks: https:// www.novaconca.cat/noticia/253636/macrooperacio-policial-antiterrorista-de-mossos-i-policia-nacional-a-montblanc , whomever has posted is is just full of shit.

I find the sleeping gas hard to believe. This is something out from a movie. IRL while such weapons exist, they're nasty. Last widely publicized instance I can think of is the Moscow theater hostage crisis in 2002. 132 hostages died because of a "sleeping" gas. That's not that hard to find out. Anesthetists work with milliliter-grade doses and they're still one of the most deadly field in modern medicine. Now imagine doing the same by forcing inhalation.
I can't imagine Spanish LE relying on this kind of solution in an apartment building. But. Time will tell I guess.

The Russians didnt use "sleeping gas" they pumped the theater full of fentanyl, which as a result killed everyone.

I just wanted to clarify, the Russians used fentanyl, not sleeping gas. Whether they knew it would kill everyone or not who knows

Exact. Not trying to defend the Russians or anything... The whole thing was a disaster. But isn't fentanyl used for anesthesia?
/u/Tre

It can be especially for larger animals. They used a pretty strong analogue of fentanyl but this was the 2000's and maybe they were exactly sure how lethal it would be.

But yeah "sleeping gas" is never a good idea. I do imagine BKA / the feds did something similar to BigBoss, unless he was just exhausted from mitigating the DDos attacks etc. Find it hard to believe they just found him with everything open but players fuck up too, so maybe.

Exactly. The hollywood-esque scenario, not knowing the difference between police forces when making this up ... this is all just bad Larp'ing attempt.

Not larping at all, I have nothing to gain from telling a story. I do forensic work and Spain LE are one of my clients.

They did not share his name as they said it was confidential which means 99% he is actively cooperating and they are waiting for additional arrests

He was surely unconscious at the computer during the raid and arrest

Wait. You provide forensics support to Spanish LE. Spanish LE is surely on Dread. And you are not concerned that providing this sort of intel could lead back to you?

Sure, they won't admit it publicly to the court and the news but its what happened, however it may not of been gas, but rest assured he was surely unconscious and yes Spain LE, it doesn't matter.

Sure, they are right now detaining terrorists but they used illegal means to catch a guy inside his penthouse in Barcelona, risking the whole operation as he just has to ask for habeas corpus to throw to the dustbin months or years of work with 300 agents involved. My friend, you are so out of reality ...

Just to make it clear, this operation was run by "Policia Nacional", not by barcelona police, which has no authority to prosecute drug crimes. These would fall upon either "Mossos", which is the equivalent to the Länder federal police bodies, or by "Policia Nacional", with coverage over the whole Spanish territory.

what does ApfelSaftnaturTrüb mean?

Someone mentioned it in /post/48bd7b99a8b48e6689f0/#c-c49d6c6c743124c26b, for example. According to that post, he had that username on German dark web forum DiDW (Deutschland im Deep Web, "Germany in the Deep Web").

Apfel = apple
Saft = juice
naturtrüb = (naturally) cloudy (of a liquid)

Just do a web search "Apfelsaft naturtrüb" and you'll find some German juice products

oh wow. it's so obvious now that i know it. was DiDW ever seized or similar? he really made it easy for LE by reusing his alias.

Yes, DiDW's latest revision was seized in 2022, made by a then 22-year-old student. He was around 18-year-old when he released the site in 2018.

Bleeping Computer has an article named "Student arrested for running one of Germany’s largest dark web markets"

Very interesting take if true. Extremely careless if he left such a sensitive thing like that sitting out so carelessly... sad.. truly sad..

wouldn't be surprised if they gassed him as they surveyed the place and possibly even saw him on his computer. just like how they did the big OG back in the day, when they set him up, found the IP address he frequently visited because he was a man of strict routine.

Seeing that video always makes my heat ache. they caused commotion with a loud ass argument to get his attention to turn around, and when he finally turned around enough, the plant pretending to be a random lady browsing, ran up full speed and snatched his laptop RIGHTTT before he could close it. i guarantee he had some crazy safeguards in place, and thats why they took that approach.

RIP The Legends.

I don't think it was his fault from what I have gathered they knocked him unconscious, like where he was using his computer open and then his pgp was opened in the memory still. He was using his computer then was knocked unconscious which is what I'm still not sure what the method was either gas or something in his drink or drugs. I don't think it was his fault
