I am a low level drug dealer who on occasion will supply. I live in a college town where pretty much anything flies to be honest and I know a couple other dealers who deal hard drugs and are way shittier than me when it comes to opsec. I know I will be fine but I always love improving my by risk management. Now to the problem. I know this is horrible opsec but just asking some older people who know their shit what exactly is wrong with telegram? I only use telegram to contact and be contacted by customers and I use signal to message my employees about what to package ect. I feel like telegram is the only option for me though and even then barely anyone in my town uses it I've had to make all my customers download it and tell their friends about it. but what exactly is the risk I'm taking by using telegram does it just make it so that if I am ever under investigation by LE I they can see all my texts even if I have auto delete on or is it more that LE is surfing through telegram and looking for people to investigate? any insight would be great thank you

because I started using signal way after I had a established client base. I don't want to switch over because I'm not sure how well it would work out and most people know me for how my tele is laid out and I've tried to recreate that but signal isn't the same

slow transition might be better than no transition . perhaps get a new line and get people to download it and offer special deals until the transition is over , it will push people to use it for the discount , and eventually, they will be used to it .

if it was for me, there should be no communication electronically at all other than setting appointment times , but the customers come of all shapes and forms, lazy to increase opsec, curious enough to need constant communication about product which is not a good thing for anybody, and dumb enough to not know the difference between what is important and what isn't. they will stick with TG coz a pretty interface instead of educating themselves to better alternatives to cover their asses

Just use a trap phone , location services off, mullvad vpn and use telegram or signal to talk to your customers.

You can also get a burner number esim, to activate those or use silent link for data on said phone and buy an aged telegram account and back it up to a protonmail email. That way you can just share the username and no phone number needed to be given out.

Buy it in cash, I recommend a pixel 6 or 7 (relatively cheap), install graphene OS, install orbot (it's a free VPN using the TOR network I'm unsure why people talk about Mullvad likes its heaven sent)

SIM card is same thing buy in cash

Keep your personal device off and the two away from each other or the trap phone in a Faraday bag while its at your house.

Telegram is unsafe as fuck maybe if you open up a store on Signal and run heavy discounts or extra product and announce it via your telegram to see who would be interested.
