I was just about to post a different article regarding this. I am truly surprised that this didn't get more attention in the /d/xanax sub. Really shows that majority of the people here are new, and not OGs. Alpaking was an era for sure. RIP.

Seems like a stretch that a penant got him jammed up. I think they have much more on him than just that, and the penant is what they provided the media. They're similar design, but not the exact same. Seems far fetched and will be argued in a trial if it goes to that. I assume he had a "oops" stash for a situation like this for a very good lawyer.... I would hope.
/u/killswitch recently returned and now here you are /u/PharmaSyndicate !!!
What's old is new again. Welcome back.

How ironic that being the victim of a crime could lead to his downfall.

"At that time, two men had broken into his home in order to obtain the password to a cryptocurrency wallet containing tens of millions of dollars. However, while examining the scene, the police found a pendant which made it possible to identify him.

“The pendant showed a symbol used by the alias AlpraKing in photos used to display drugs sold on the dark web,” say US authorities in the extradition request for Alexandre Beaudry."
Killswitch has always been on point. Glad he's back.

AK didn't fall because of his home invasion, he had the worst opsec. He was cocky and sloppy with his staff. His dox has been floating for 4+ years.

Interesting. I did not know his dox was out and about.

However, I bet it was something similar to DEA knowing about Pablo Escobar etc etc... they just needed to catch him red handed or a slip up. Maybe having the cops enter his residence was the perfect excuse to "find something". Pure speculation
Thanks for elaborating. The article seemed to imply that the discovery of the pendant was the kill shot.
