The hell is this? : AlphaBay | Torhoo darknet markets

Made an order a week ago, within 2 days the market is unreachable. Now the order has finalized. Why is the auto finalize ONE week and why does the counter still tick down when your site is down?

A moderator made me aware of your ticket and I looked at this. The moderator gave you pretty much everything I could have said - I2P is always available, recommended time to use ADR to dispute to extend order timer without impacting either vendor or customer statistics or involve moderator is 2-3 days after. It is the customer responsibility to make sure they do not leave it to the last day to extend if it is international order.

That being said the downtime was unexpected due to a crash on the onionbalance as explained in response to another post (fix also applied took a bit of time). Due to not having private links yet rolled out I can understand where you are coming from hence why I would support what the moderator suggested in the ticket which is to ensure you got your order by working with the vendor and refund you if that is not the case in this limited instance. At any stage we want every single of our customers and vendors to have a fantastic and easy experience using our platform.

Once I have the private link system rolled out (should be within 24 hours of this post) it will be the customers responsibility to access on time especially when it comes to international orders. Also for further topics we provide support on the marketplace please create a ticket there and if you have created one do not duplicate over to the subdreadit.

Thank you.

Thankfully the order showed up today. It seems that if people are regularly extending the auto finalize timer perhaps increase the default duration? Or perhaps have 2 different timers - one for domestic and one for international. There is no way an international package is landing in 7 days unless you live in the EU and are neighbors.

Great to hear that.

The timer is set mainly because buyers forget or do not care about finalizing as soon as they get it. We penalize users (affects their Trust Level) who leave it to autofinalize all the time but that is not enough.

Anything more than 7 days in my eyes and that of other vendors is unreasonable and my decision to set timer 7 days for physical (2 for digital) has stemmed mainly from feedback from other vendors we had previously and what I was seeing on Dread in the last couple of years.

International orders do need more time but buyers can extend the timer as I have said and I do not want us to collect additional information about escrow deals/product listings unless we absolutely have to (e.g. domestic/international). In my opinion extending the timer through ADR is easy and it also creates a chat with the vendor hence you can get updates from him if needed without involving a moderator.

Thank you.
