The state of the darknet/monero 10 years from now : Monero | Torhoo darknet markets

This is something that always keeps me up at night thinking, whenever I hear about a new crypto or internet regulation I go panic mode, because the darknet and privacy coins are treasure to me, they are perfect, they saved me. As someone with libertarian economic views I'm just so fascinated that we can bring those ideas to reality via the black market, so it would tear me apart if the government successfully took down the darknet. Obviously no one here can predict the future, but surely some people have a good idea about how the darknet and monero will be 10 years from now, drop your predictions

If I had to guess, the black market trade would go on, with or without one specific hub or currency, the same way it has for thousands of years. It's just a cat and mouse game, and we dem doggs son.

what sketches me out is the quantum computer shit that will be decrypting all kinds of shit, i believe XMR is somewhat quantum resistant already but the decrypting stuff is what I'm wondering how much of an effect it will have on the DNM's

Totally agree, fellow libertarian. Anytime I hear "Darkweb crypto, crypto money laundering, russian hackers, blah, blah, blah inevitablity Monero comes up. They want to destroy it because they can't see exactly what you are doing with your funds.

The only thing that will stop them from ending this, is everyone continuing to say "F-You", writing our congress, our president, and brining up the fact that this intrusion is against our values. "These are my assets, that I paid taxes on BTW, and what I have is none of your G-D business."

We just have to overwelm them with usage, more and more computers and for TOR and the blockchain, etc. They can't stop everyone, otherwise blackmarkets wouldn't existi. With that being said, I only keep between 30-40 XMR. If I get more than that I tend to trim because of the potential for it being banned or it's use seriously degraded in my home country.
