Thought exercise: what would be your perfect mining rig? : CafeDread | Torhoo darknet markets

Imagine, if you will, you were given ONE BILLION EUROS to build your perfect cryptomining setup. Price is no object, stock of your components is not an issue, imagine you could just go totally ham. What is your thought process from here?

First i will buy a nuclear plant for electricity , second i will ..................uhmmm .......wait a minute ! If i have 1 billion euros = why the fuck do i need to mine bitcoin ?

For what ? To make 100 billion euros ? for what ? i only have 1 stomach i cant eat 10 elephant per day ! i cant drive 100 lamborghinis at same time !! For what ? for ego ? fuck ego !

1 billion euros = i will buy real estate and rent it : some apartments , villas , buildings all around the world (new york, paris, london, dubai) to secure my capital

And then i will travel worldwide , marry 25 wives , make 200 childrens , help poor people all around the world , an exciting life full of adventure far from jet set and all that craps

cheers my bilionnaire friend :)
For the purposes of this experiment, every single penny not used for this exercise will be taken back to the shady Other Guy that gave it to you. Congratulations, your plan to turn your body into a shrivelled husk with 24/7 ejaculation is a bust. GAME OVER.

Bitcoin mining is not worth it. I mean you could use the billion dollars to buy a few ASIC . You might make out decently but if you were smart you would want to mine other coins like eth, xmr, turtlecoin, etc to max profits
I never mentioned Bitcoin specifically, I said crypto in general.

Fun fact: Satoshi nakamoto is in the top 20 of richest people on earth.
For every 1$ that bitcoin rises, satoshi nakamoto is 1 million $ richer
for every 1000$ that bitcoin rises, he is a billion $ richer.
What the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck?

Man, if he is like Paul Le Roux (in prison) or Hal Finney (dead) or something, he must be pissed.

it would be epic if Paul Le Roux was the creator of bitcoin a king pin that is also a nerd.
I mean, he did have some pretty comprehensive computer knowledge, creating TrueCrypt and a series of clearnet websites.

Satoshi nakamoto does not exist, its a synonyme for the idea behind the bitcoin. there is no proof that a man with that name ever worked on the BTC or holds any wallets full of BTC
It's a pseudonym of the person (or group) behind it, yes. He took the mantle of Satoshi Nakamoto to hide his true identity, much like you use the name DarknetInside and I use the name Witchman05.

my bet is on that australian guy whos wife tried to sue him for half the BTC wallet he owns, about half a billion dollar in BTC so they say
My bet is on Hal Finney, to be honest. Nakamoto stops talking a month before Finney goes into retirement, had the same ideology, was the first recipient of a Bitcoin transaction, and Satoshi totally went dark when Finney died?

A Satoshi discussion probably would have been a better idea than this thread, now that I think of it. Let me post that now. :P

nope! this is a myth - there isnt a single wallet containing 1million btc and nobody knows for sure how many he mined.

makes for a nice story though
I'm assuming he'd have bought (or mined) a tonne of it when it first launched and you were able to do small shit with it. I mean, who wouldn't?

Maybe not a million specifically, but the chances are slim to none he didn't stockpile it on a wish.

its well known he mined a lot of coin and people are still researching it.

the 1million thing is mostly click bait. he kept them in thousands of wallets

Well, not that it matters, but I would make a whole data center full to the brim with servers with the latest EPYC proceessors and Nvidia Quadros or 3090's all around, and I would start mining Monero on the CPUs and something else on the GPUs. If that ever becomes unprofitable, rent the whole thing as a supercomputer for advanced research and what not. Profit ++ helping research on current problems, probably would go with research into diseases.

I'd just buy a shitload of AMD ThreadRipper servers and use them to mine XMR. Set up the servers in a distributed fashion across eastern Europe, southeast Asia, and South/Central America. Then build a bridge service to sell XMR for BTC and other crypto and use XMR as a tumbling service for other coins. Hide the mining service behind an obfuscated myriad of shell corporations and turn 1 billion euros into 1 trillion.

Downside is, you have to spend time with the type of people who become mathematicians.

i would create a Monero botnet. I would use they money to buy dozen or so bullet proof VPS that could be used as C&C.

you would make a lot more money mining with other peoples computer or server because you wouldnt have to pay for the equipment, electricity.

You could spend the money on freelancers to do the programming if you couldnt do it.

- spreading could be by SSH brute force, exploiting vulnerabilities. have a module of the malware that once infects the computer to go through all the IPs in the range and try to exploit them or guess the password so u can infect them

a row of Nvidia RTX 3080 Cards to let them run 24/7 on Ethereum.
Why not an ethereum miner / Asic ?

Because the GPU miner can be used for nearly any other currency too and is very versatile.
A single 3080 makes around 15 Dollar a day with ethereum ( Price for Electric power at around 25 Cent per KW/h which is already high, on lower energy prices the card brings even more)
Plus in the cold month of a year can this installment heat up whole apartments or houses , depending how many cards you use is that a heavy impact on heating costs at all.
