Dear HS,

Oh believe me, I know what a welcome we would receive down under. If I printed out all the messages from your lot it would break a donkey's back.

And if we opened up an Outlet down there it would break the LSD market and crash prices about 90% by the looks of things.

I suppose this is one of the problems. Greed. We have to find someone who is truly in it purely for the love and who cares about the importance of our mission to take on the role, or they would not be willing to maintain our prices.

One of our aims is to keep the prices the same, no matter what the market price is in the territories we venture into. Fair prices for all is the aim.

The other roadblock is relationship building, which takes a long time for someone to become trusted, and then introduced to the core Tribe, and then for everyone to agree that they are "one of us". Has to be unanimous decision, and not many make the cut.

As I always say, I know at some point in time, the universe will just open the path, the right person will come along, and my gut will tell me this is the one. This has been the case with each new member. It just comes together when it is supposed to and that special connection happens and we end up with a new member of the family.

Until then, I will just have to keep teasing you all with the prospect.

We always find a way, because there is always the will to do so when it comes to spreading the love and light and sharing this medicine with the world.

As I have said elsewhere, AI art will be accepted.

However, physical pieces will get more brownie points than digital, and those who share PSD files to prove that their digital art was created by hand will have more weight to their submission than those who do not.

I think this is fair. AI is a tool to be used, just like Photoshop is a tool to be used.

Technology empowers us to be creative and express ourselves, so in my opinion we need to accept that the world is changing and go with the flow.

Hey Tribe,

Here's my heart and soul poured out onto canvas for the Visual Art Competition, "Seussian Sojourn: A Journey Through Consciousness." I dove deep to create this. Each stroke, each dab of color, was laid down by hand (digitally on procreate) – no AI was used in any production of the piece, all drawn by me (i can provide a timelapse video of the creation if wanted/needed :) )

I got lost in the process, honestly. Each piece of the art, every detail, is a story about the profound properties of the medicine that is so lovingly provided to us – things from our connection with nature, the profound journeys we take within, and those big, beautiful journeys we all take. The signposts, the doors and gates, the characters and guides, they all came to life one by one.

I’m stoked to share this with you all and see what you thing. Big thanks to Tribe Seuss and for everything that you do, words cant describe

Hello,
I was trying to find out why GG are still unavailable as they were my only source ever, so I decided to do some digging and I discovered Dread. I was a bit sad to hear that GG retired but if they hadn't, I wouldn't find this competition. I had a longstanding desire to create blotter artwork so when I saw this, I immediately dove into the work. My main intention was to create something that could be enjoyed by everyone as most of blotter art can be appreciated only by retailers and high level psychonauts but not accessible to everyone.

Lovely to meet another human with a love for designing blotter art.

We have been with the same classic print forever, but when that holy grail, the DS-4.0 comes to the forefront of the Outlets, it will be accompanied by some fresh prints.

And I really want to bring the 2.0 back so we can use the blotter we prepared for this last year. Been a complete headache replicating this again, and we have been mainly concentrating on just pumping out as much 3.0 as possible to get all the new outlets properly stocked the past year, but the LSD Gods willing, we will get to that part of the long ass to do list sooner rather than later.

Had a lot of fun checking out this competition. Some absolutely beautiful podiums - that oil painting!!! /u/clus73r1 your submission is hilarious!

I enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone to participate, and while I gotta say I'm a little disappointed that I didn't make the cut for HMs, I'm really quite satisfied. Shame to see multiple AI submissions get awarded (and seemingly the AI submission a9aa[...].png got awarded twice under two different entrants?) but in all some beautiful artwork and some pure hearts from you guys at TS.

Looking forward to maybe trying again next time!!

Real art comes from an artist and not artificial intelligence in my opinion but would be cool to hear the teams thoughts on this :)

Yea, was thinking the same thing. but for me i think if it's used as a tool for creation that would be cool rather than submitting an art that was 100% AI.

Real art can come from an an artist's imagination and AI models working together.

I'm not too familiar with AI art myself yet. It's a lovely submission that's for sure, do you think with the same input it'll create the same image again if the same software is used or does it change each time even if the same input is put in ? If it's totally random that would add to the appeal for me because that'll make it a unique piece that cannot be recreated the same again

AI art is allowed, but we will be considering these factors in the judging.

If someone has taken the time to make a bronze sculpture of a cat in the hat for example, that is going to carry a lot of weight over a painting, painting over Photoshop, Photoshop over AI art.

But who knows, if the subject matter and the energy just resonates from the piece, these factors will be put to one side.

I will not know until I see every submission and feel the energy each piece projects into my soul.

I assume no but I also want to be completely sure.
There are already few AI images in here as I can see. Maybe Im wrong but i dont think so.
I remember less than a week after this post there were people with already pretty damn good images.
AI art is so good these days you somatimes cannot really differentiate it from human work.
I hope judges would recognize that some work is AI generated.

As I say, people will be allowed to submit AI art.

But if you also want to submit some proof that the time has been put into this to make it personally, Photoshop PSD file for example, again, bonus points for sure.

Or as you say, screen capture of matte painting...

As I just said to one other user, I have just requested (again) the functionality to be added to the PissUp admin panel to generate tokens so users can have a one time upload of larger file sizes.

Hopefully, now that this has become a necessity, we will finally be able to get that one done.

I am pretty greedy with my requests for new functionality, so delays are expected, but I hope we can bump this up the list, general OPSEC tasks willing.

Helloooo, how much time do we have to submit a piece? If not, the competition will be extended until May.

I believe there are 13 entries left before we reach 40 right now, so it is looking very much like the competition will be extended, unless we get another 13 entries in thee next 4 days, which seems unlikely.

Oh, very very very much so!

I will be honest, I have had so many ideas for competitions my brain hurts, but just not the time or facility to manifest them the past years, due to a variety of setbacks, both financial and operations wise. All my time has been taken up on the back end overcoming all these hurdles, but the state of things as I write this are pretty damned good, if I do say so myself.

The Tribe is now in an excellent position with our distribution and the Outlets available. I am really pushing to get EU domestic covered right now. The final thorn in my side to extract, and then I will be able to take a small break and just let things tick over, and get back to my happy place, which is working in the community and having fun with you all.

I am somewhat of a creative spirit myself. Nowhere near as talented as the vast majority of the people who have done us the honor of contributing here, but one dabbles. It's a pleasure to be able gather together some other creative souls and see all this beautiful art, and a pleasure to give back to the community with some great prizes. I look forward to doing more of it.

There are a couple of OPSEC concerns with photography, music, and videography, which I am sure are obvious. Do not want people's voices and faces posted publicly, but some strict rules and guidelines should mitigate that I hope. One would hope that people have the common sense not to submit a TikTok dance video to a DN competition, but you know, nothing common about sense is there!

Anyway, yes and yes, we will 100% keep the competitions coming. Back on TMG it was something we were known for. I intend to keep it up here on Dread!

If anything, post closeups so we can see brush strokes and texture. Post a pic with your username printed on a piece of paper next to it. Something along those lines.

And if it is for the sake of proof of personal work, only send the link to /u/HappyHorsey or myself for verification.

With that said, 100%. LSD is a tool and a medicine. Equally, the DN is a tool. Both can be used for positive or negative outcomes.

In the enlarged image I did see stroke marks but they looked synthetic to my eye. However I'm certainly no expert, in fact I've never ever painted before personally! It's madly impressive that you can do this.

Personally not fully convinced, but absolutely no need to prove it to me - as long as Seuss team knows it is legit, that is satisfactory to me. Like Dr said, opsec!! ;)

Very excited for the competition!

I love art, was in doubt between making a painting or a sculpture, and decided on sculpture, since its raining a lot here and the humidity would interfere with the oil painting. But I would love to do it in other opportunity!

Finally finished it after a few days of work with modelling clay. Gave it a little color. I also edited to remove the background (for opsec reasons), and added a little filter to make the colors even more beautiful!

I was thinking that there was time until the end of April. I have pencil + watercolor work. The work of my first acid trip :) I was going to take a higher resolution image and manipulate the size. It's currently a holiday in my country and I'm away from home for two more days. I have to compete with this image instead of a better image with high resolution. Of course, if I'm not late. :D Anyway, even if my image quality was low and it was different from the recommended ratio. I believe that uniqueness is good. Lets throw a rainbow to the rules. :P

Im playing didgeridoo and it is really hard to record the voice with high quality too so Im all out on your competitions :D but on your next visiual competition I will be the champ u will see . I gathered lots of ideas to draw when high on acid. Your blotters (I took 2.5 pcs of 100 ug blotters which is 250ug) are so clean in the past I had some mindfucking blotters which are little bit scarry:D but the differences is if i take even 500 ug of your tabs it wont be mindfucking. Your acid is different. In the past Jor and GG was the best I still have some blotters from their resellers (I hope those are still okey) but now dude, you are the best without any discuss

Well, thank you for the kind words. A lot of love goes into what we do, and I hope a lot of love is inside and every tab. Being put in the same breath as Gamma and JoR is the highest honour, so that is much appreciated too.

I too have had my fair share of "mindfucking" LSD over the years. Can be a tough time. Not pleasant, but weirdly, so of those totally messed up trips gave me some interesting lessons after a bit of integration. It's all different tools for different jobs.

I am sure you can bust out an interesting submission with a didgeridoo. You just need a couple of different mics, one for low end, one for high end, and then layer it, and you can make something awesome. If you can grab some friends to form a drum circle then you will really be cooking with gas. You have time to prepare. Best get to it!

Reminds me of Picasso's blue phase. Something to it which evokes strong emotion. And very open to interpretation. Subtle reference to the cat in the hat with the curtain. I am drawn to it I must say.

Judging all these is becoming very hard. I have whittled it down some more yesterday, but I am still struggling. Too much quality work, each great in their own unique way.

I may have to end up drawing straws on the final group of pieces. Dunno how I can pick only 3 here.

EDIT: The art piece is a mixture of kaleidoscope, compass and a keyhole. Enter the world of psychedelics!
Planets, time and space swirls around you as you watch into this, it's a journey; a trip!
Familiar geometrical shapes as well as less familiar and chaotic shapes like butterfly patterns for the metamorphism of time, space and thoughts. There is more to see for the one who looks and dreams away in it, it blooms out like a flower and create layers on itself, what you do see in it; it's there.

You can spin the kaleidoscope and see how it changes by ingesting a psychedelic drug before you watch the art. ;)

The reference might not be obvious, it's a nod to "the universal compass" of The Tribe. (Read Crystal history.)
