The only exception I make on SD nowadays is MrWhiteUK. He might only offer First Class but 3 out of 4 packs from him have landed next day which is more than can be said for most vendors who ship via Tracked 24.
I was literally looking online earlier to see the difference between First Class and T24 and came across a reddit post that said exactly the same as you about first class always being delivered faster and T24 always taking 2-3 days. Despite tracked supposedly being prioritized.
Someone mentioned they should really have the same delivery aim and time, but tracked 24 goes through more scan points and shouldn't affect delivery times.
So who knows?

Are tracking numbers on the parcels/letters when they arrive? If you tell me this and I haven't ever noticed in my entire existence I am gonna hang my head in shame as I never knew this.
I just get my parcels. know what it is and open them without ever paying attention to anything else.
Or am I misinterpreting you and you're saying when you get the tracking off the vendors you check to see when they were posted?
If it's the latter, I don't even get tracking off vendors and I hate to ask, so I don't come across as impatient.
I've had ONE person send me tracking without ever having to ask just two weeks ago, shame everyone wasn't like that!
My expeience is the same btw - it's almost always the seller sending packs out late and almost never RM missing delivery. The excuse of RM being shit is just that - an excuse. They're actually pretty reliable, it's the vendors that are the weak link in the chain.
I guess we should be happy that we're able to get drug through the mail at all but personally I'm sick of scummy vendors saying they've shipped something when in reality they haven't. I'm going to start calling them out on here because as customers the least we should expect is honesty from the people we're buying from.
If you have met a vendors shipping deadlines and that order wasn't sent out that day (without a curtsy message explaining why) then customers have to start holding these vendors feet to the fire...
They benefit SO much with extra orders by putting 'NDD' in the title and having good shipping deadlines, but then hardly any comeback when they can't even be bothered to meet them deadlines themselves!
NEARLY happened to me today. He left my area and didn't deliver anything, then landed back 10 minutes later after remembering he forgot to do our row...like wtf haha
But yea, if it was me I'd be getting every order out ASAP. That's how you build a solid reputation with your customers.
I think the reasons I've never noticed before is because I don't receive parcels very often and when I do I'm just excited to open them when I receive them so I don't even bother paying attention to anything else haha.
But yea I checked it out and /u/SMHS was spot on. Bit of useful information learned ;)
