Very poor result data from sample : EnergyControl | Torhoo darknet markets
Hi Energycontrol,
I submitted three samples through your international testing service. Hereby I used the "normal" option for 70 EUR.
For the XTC pill it shows only "MDMA 164 mg"
Similar for the sample of a powder, suspected to be MDMA: "MDMA 84%"
I asked explicitely beforehand if you would list any adulterants etc. ... so the result is very confusing at the moment. If this is be the final result it would be very disappointing, as the service has only a minor benefit over a simple marquis & Mecke etc. test ...
Are you supplying the remaining data later on?
We accept your criticism. Info provided in simple analysis is too scarce. But we remind you that we are processing more than 100 samples each week. And we keep our fees low, as drug testing free barely covers costs. Most our work (including mine) is volunteer and our fundings are limited. We try to do our best but fundings and time are limited
We perform our tests comparing samples with a database of more than 30.000 substances, covering virtualy all drugs, prescription drugs, adulterants, NPS...
So a MDMA pill with 164 mg indicates that this is the only active molecule detected. The rest of the pill weight composition are subproducts of synthesis (that appear in all clandestine synthesis) and common excipients for pills.
The same with MDMA 84%. 16% remaining are byproducts and impurities (from clandestine synthesis), innocuous to health, and the inert (hydrochloride) part of MDMA molecule.
We estimate a 2-5% error margin in our lab techniques. If you send an identical sample results may reflect this margin of error. Callibrating our machines for a minor error margin is a cost we can not assume in this moment.
I don´t agree with your idea that "the service has only a minor benefit over a simple marquis & Mecke etc. test ...". Quantification of samples allow the user to dosify correctly and avoid intoxications. It is true that MDMA crystal purities are, in general, high, but this is not the same for all substances. We are wishing to make public some of these results (according to our databases vaiability in LSD, ketamine or cocaine is much higher)
On the other hand, we have (ocassionaly) detected samples with low amounts of MDMA mixed with other substances. For example pills containing 10 mg MDMA +prescription drugs that will test positive for a Marquis but are dangerous.
Thanks for your commentaries, feel free to contact for additional info

Does it mean that you also screened for aldurants such as caffeine or minor amounts of 2C-B but did not detect it? Or that you didn't test for it regarding the already high content of MDMA.
Or even: That you only test for MDMA in general if someone sends in an XTC Pill?
We perform our tests comparing samples with a database of more than 30.000 substances, covering virtualy all drugs, prescription drugs, adulterants, NPS. This includes more than 1.000 different phenethilamines (all amphetamines, MD amphetamine derivatives, mescaline derivatives (including 2C-derivatives), ), 1300 tryptamines, opiates (both natural and syhtethic, even active in micrograms as fentanyl and fentanyl derivatives), all prescription drugs approved internationally, common (and uncommon) adulterants including paracetamol, caffeine, levamisol...
All samples submitted to drug testing pass this process. MDMA pills, ketamine powders or "unknown substances".
Some examples:
This pill was submitted as "MDMA" but we detected 3 mg of methamphetamine and N-Ethyl-Pentylone
https://energycontrol-international.org/alert-skull-pill-with-methamphetamine-and-n-ethyl-pentylone/
This pill was submitted as oxycodone but contained 555 mg of fentanyl
https://energycontrol-international.org/alert-skull-pill-with-methamphetamine-and-n-ethyl-pentylone/
Your pill contain 164 mg of MDMA. And contains no other traces of more than 30.000 substances. This is a fact.
Maybe my phrase . "We estimate a 2-5% error margin in our lab techniques" was confusing. This does not mean that if your pill contained 2-5% of any other substance we could not detect it. This mean that an identical pill we could obtain a result slightly different (a differenece between 3-8 mg). But our machines are callibrated to maximize detecting even small amounts of different drugs in a sample, and that means that we have a margin error in the main substance. This make sense in a harm reduction perspective. If your pill really contains 168 mg or 160 mg instead of 164 that is not very relevant. But if your pill contained a small amount of fentanyl and we are not able to detect it, that should be a very severe mistake.
I expect you have better understood the process. But one of my roles here is to give all necessary explanations in this sense. So feel free to ask all questions you need in this sense
Our resources (human and economical) are limited and our aim is to offer the best harm reduction service and make it available to most people.
Our service detects with very high accuracy substances and mixtures of substances (including new ones). Detects virtually all active adulterants including NPS o substances actives in micrograms (NBOMES, synthetic cannabinoids...). We can quantify with an acceptable margin of error most common drugs (updated list in https://energycontrol-international.org/drug-testing-service/).
Honestly, I think you are wrong saying:"update the adulterants and the market obviously is way ahead you!". We are part of the Early Warning Alert System from European Union and, in fact, we have been the first time in communicating the presence of new adulterants. Our protocols are optimized precisely to this. We accept criticisims but, if you can´t offer any objective data I consider that phrase as false.
There are many other things we could do. But that requires a lot of money in machinery and staff. Our senior staff are in charge and responsible of lab testing (they get paid by their work), but are helped by volunteers. Administrative processes, web updating, creating news and reports, participating in forum, answering questions from users, solving incidences with the 1.000 samples received each year requires a lot of work, mostly run by volunteers.
We could offer a complete test, including all salts, sugars, colorants and byproducts in a MDMA pill, but that would make the process much more expensive, slow and does not give much more information for harm reduction. We are not interested (and we can´t actually) charge triple price to provide non-relevant information to some users.
We know sometimes there are important delays. Our team works spending more hours a week than they are paid for. We´ve been asked many times to offer a "express service" with a higher fee, but that would mean that the "normal service" would suffer even more delay and we think this is not fair.
Drug Checking Fee barely covers the cost of service. Data from our webpage are not updated (https://energycontrol-international.org/donations/) but I will change soon to 2018, that are similar.
In fact, we would not need astronomical amounts of money to improve some of our services. 20.000-30.000 EUR a year would be much than enough. We had some hope that our donations page could work, but, as you can see if you explore the blockchains, donations are scarce. We have not received a lot of help from people who entered in crypto business in Silk Road´s years and saw the BTC price rise from 100$ to 10.000$
In this way, if you or anybody thinks about a way to give more visibility or promote our donation page, we would appreciate it.
In any case we enjoy and learn from these discussions and we are open to ideas and suggestions
Is not a bad idea to offer more extended services. Some (investors)might be really interested. And once they have more complete info, might invest in your services. So far, your services are too basic. Give them a reason to take your results seriosuly?
You are free to have your opinion about our services. I challenge you to find a NGO or business that offers services like ours with a similar cost.
You are free also to take us seriously or not. If you have a look to our research page in our website (https://energycontrol-international.org/research/) you will see that scientific journal, academical institutions, international congresses and official agencies take our results seriously. You are free to evaluate available information and decide if we are trustworthy or not
