what does a link rotator being taken down matter for "another market to avoid"... you do realize thats a regular occurrence, right? especially with .su domains which never made sense to buy to me anyways. Archetyp lost 5 domains lol. Clearweb shit passed through cloudflare will always be taken down sooner or later.
If they are stupid enough to use a clearnet site for that what other newb mistakes have they made. Not a good look. This is what happened to Archetyp before it went down. If users are moving to another market avoid ones making newb mistakes
dread isnt a person, its running fuck-all. but ur right, daunt isnt a market, its an index of all the markets that exist which makes it a prime target for LE to poison its links. Big difference :=)
Spreading links on clearnet sites is not ideal, but it's not remotely as problematic as you claim.
- As long as users verify the links, they are pretty safe.
- As long as you run the clearnet sites properly, you are safe.
- Assuming the market infrastructure is entirely separated from that, the market itself is safe, too.
The worst thing that can happen is that antidarknet or some other troll sends an abuse mail. Again, not ideal, but nothing serious. And that had nothing to do with Archetyp's seizure.
Really. Tor was designed for a reason and thats keep you anonymous. As soon as you leave the 'onoin network' you are breaking that. Encouraging users to access the market via a clearnet link is not good OPSEC for the user or the market. Fuck its not hard, stay on TOR and encourage your user base to do the same.
Zero arguments provided. Thanks for the fruitful discussion.
I'll just continue throwing arguments against `just don't do it`:
- Tor is not anonymous if there is enough interest in you (direct answer to your comment)
- Criminals doing espionage or ransomware and similar threat actors cause millions in damages or steal information from the largest companies you can think of while using clearnet infrastructure. They use it for initial access, hosting second stage payloads, continued data exfiltration and more. Yet, they aren't caught for long periods of time, if at all. Thoughts?
Nice find. That's a good read. And it makes me realize that I don't give a flying fuck about graphics and branding, and maybe market operators should be thinking that way too. Give me a minimal, clean UI and a high bar for entry.
Fucking this ^^^
Clearnet shit really must be completely separated from DN.
Whoever wants something bought should up his fucking game.
It's not supposed to be convenient but secure and safe as possible and no corners should be cut just for the petty income.
Yeah, and this has been going on for 10 years now? When will they give up? One falls, several emerge.
You, law enforcement, gaslighted the Australian public with your 'lunchtime o'booze' gutter journalism.
And lets take it a step further; even your children deal against you. How embarrassing as a father, you target us and miss your own son?
When will you wake up to the pharmaceutical slavery you have produced at your convenience? Or is picking on the poor more your style?
Come to terms with us, allow people a way out. It is not better to be feared than loved in this case. Lives are at stake, and your sheer arrogance and sloth contributes to these deaths.
Big pharma made this mess, and its high-tide is cleaned it the fuck up.
“There will be in the next generation or so a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak, producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them but will rather enjoy it.” - Aldous Huxley
Already gone back to hitting up friends of friends for some hammer that has god knows what in it! Can't forget the lovely doctors and pharmacists that got me more progressively addicted to opiates in the first place though, shout out to those guys!
If this overprived garbage I get with no reviews from some bloke I don't know kills me it is my fault, but I do wonder how I got here sometimes.
It's not your fault. Ads for Oxycontin? Valium over the counter? Meth to get through a day of laboring? Abominable psychiatric services. Big pharma is the industrial cartel, so insidious, such malpractice, that improper prescriptions are a leading cause of death in the West.
Governments have always used intoxicants to control the population. Alcohol makes you spend. Cannabis rhetoric was mainly racist against negros and Mexicans. LSD, a substance on which they vacillate between "the deadliest drug in America", or, the coming of an age of self-inquiry unlike any civilization has seen.
The nameservers are currently cloudflare but the A record has been null routed? Could of been an abuse request, do you have any more evidence that it has been seized?
Check the drughub sub, its all there. Do I really need to point out why running a clearnet site that is assosiated with a highly illegal Darknet site is good OPSEC. We use TOR for god reason. Anything can be done but in most cases as history tells us these admins make so many sloppy mistakes and this is just a newb mistake. Its obvious from his posts the admin is arrogent and very young. Also daunt is not linked to any site selling drugs, its a not a target for LE like drughub.
Say what you are saying is true. There's a few things which make me think it's a good market.
1. All communication is FORCED to be PGP encrypted manually.
2. The market only holds funds in escrow, with no funds actually held in wallets on market. Unless you overpay an order.
3. The market only accepts XMR.
In all cases, it's like the best of WHM and Archetyp.
But your concerns are valid. But as a user, so far I like the market. Especially the forced manual PGP message encryption everywhere.
In my experience of using over a dozen markets, I am pretty happy with the site security.
Even if they are sloppy, given the extent of protections around communication, I would say that it's quite safe for buyers.
I'm not a vendor, so can't comment on that.
EDIT: How does a domain name get seized by LE by the way? Domain names are registered on A/AAA records for servers, which then propagate that name. A/AAA records can be set on free services.
Just go check https://freedns.afraid.org for an example of how you can register any dickwad domain name, point that to an IP registered on a server created from fraudulent accounts or your own hardware in mother Russia.
/u/dontlaugh. This is FUD... making a claim with no basis in reality. There's no evidence LE is involved in the clear net site. Where's your FUD comment on this friend?
Not hard dumbass. LE take control from domain name register and point to their nameservers then can direct traffic to anywhere. How do you think siezure pages go up.
Also, Shilling what? I'm going to do review on a market.
BUT, your comment about me presenting FUD, by your logic, is the exactly the same case here.
I don't care which market I use to buy my goodies, but it's worth providing a review of my experience.
Have not been able to reach DARK MATTER, and ABACUS is NOT AVAILABLE... So, based on the need to purchase goodies, the market I CAN ACCESS is DRUG HUB.
So therefore, I will review the market I CAN VISIT.
you wrote and i quote "End of abacus - whats next?" that is a FUD inducing title when there is NO confirmation of abacus being gone yet. you're the panicky irrational cunt.
if you had of written this after Hug had confirmed something i would say it's not fud and it's ok, but you always have a knack for preemptively posting shit that is negative and spreads FUD.
no actually anyone can write a clickbait title to a post about something and it's FUD until we have some sort of official word. this post was written well before hugbunter wrote his post with actual information.
just because someone happens to be right doesn't make it any less FUD inducing.
can go look up the meaning if you really need to - cunt.
goofy fud.
