Well, mate, before you go looking about for "interesting" sites, you might want to take some steps to protect yourself here. This is not clearnet, and you have some seriously malicious sites to prepare for if you looking for, as you say, "interesting sites to visit". Even on 4chan there are some protections because of clearnet security features. Here we mostly protect ourselves, both by preparing our computers and using best practices for opsec (which includes avoiding those "intersting sites", tbh).
So, for starters, take a read of the DNM Bible from /d/DNMBible. You'll get all the basic opsec practices for the DN, including Tails as your primary DN OS, as well as PGP and other opsec tools. Remember, opsec isn't just how you set up your computer, opsec is a way of thinking and using best practices to mitigate your threat model.
As you read the bible, you'll have some questions. A good place to ask those starter questions is /d/DarknetMarketsNoobs (we were all noobs here once upon a time). You'll usually get a good answer there, or get directed to a better sub to ask questions. IF you decide to stay, and IF you decide to use DNM's, then stay with markets from /d/superlist, and use escrow for your initial purchases.
Some things to consider for your first time here. Anyone sending you a private Message offering guides or tutoring is probably a scammer out to steal from you. You can learn everything you need to know about DN basics for free on dread.
Make sure you're on a valid link to dread from https://daunt.link. Daunt has a wide variety of sites listed, from /d/superlist markets to Facebook and even LE onion sites. Use daunt when you can't find a link to a valid DN site elsewhere, such as a market sub on dread.
If it seems too good to be true, it is, irl and on the DN.
Never risk more than you can afford to lose, in opsec, identity, or coin.
There is no free lunch. Everything here is just like real life, where you must work, and learn, and grow as you progress into the DN world.
Keep your identity to yourself, as comments such as "newfag" can give LE profile information about you. LE watches everyone here, and has a profile set up in case they need ammunition to take you down in the future. Simple as that.
Well, I've gone on a bit here, I see. Welcome to the DN, and welcome to dread.
The term "newfag" is mostly specific to 4chan posters, as I understand. So, there is a potential link between someone posting here and a 4chan poster. LE takes notice of such links when building a profile, or at the least I would if I were LE.
LE is a general term for all forms of Law Enforcement. You'll also see references to TLA's, which are Three Letter Agencies such as FBI, DEA, FSB, and so on.
i dont trust random links to random onion sites, reasonably enough. I was hoping for some site names that i could look up, which i feel like would be a step safer than just clicking on a link
Yeah but atleast we're relatively a tight knit group in some way and there i'd rather have this kind of vibe over anything from any popular social medias on the clearnet although this place gets periodically swarmed by redditard tourists, trolls and of course we do have our fair share of retarded scammers and shit.
i dont use reddit, i did find out about the darkweb through mutahar a while ago, but i figured i might as well go on it and look around. I don't mean to treat this place like a tourist stop, but its interesting to me. also although i live in a weed-legal state, its interesting to see other peoples takes on weed and shrooms and acid in weed-illegal states or countries. shit, im high now kek
