Shams-al-Ma'arif by Ahmed Al-Buni

Very hard to understand the motive of the book as it has been controversial for centuries. What i found in the book was very eye-opening and illuminating. (Only because i go deep when it comes to religions and the book taught me a lot and gave me a clear perspective on humans, God, superstition and more)

You sound like a self aware Muslim. I don't know any who actually follow it. Many good books were written by Muslims/Christians/Jews etc but that does not mean the religion is relevant at all. I'm baffled by people who follow these books. It seems to me they are all there to contol people. Nothing to do with reality. Like political parties they say things we can relate to but that's just to get our support.

Just curious. Why not be spiritual without following some other persons idea of how we should behave?

as long as you believe that there is a creator and as long as you dont believe in any bullshit story about that creator youre good to go.
/u/jammiedog

That make no sense. Who created the creator? You? In your imagination?

so what is it that you believe? everything was always there and we popped up from a cell all by itself? come on man.

What difference does it make to our life? It is ridiculous to belive something created us but that think was not created. It is a stupid thing to talk about. One is as likely as the other. Neither matter. Why on earth would you waste your time thinking about something that created everything but not consider what created that something. It's absurd.
/u/serdavos

only thing thats absurd is that a big blast happened and we popped out of each others asses carrying a set of gene cells. which by the way no scientist or preacher can explain how something like that can be created on its own.

With all the love in the world my brother jammie, i think you have a limited undertanding here and thats okay because so does the half the world.

What you are saying defies not one but all religions this world has ever seen.

You are a proper evolutionist. It doesnt answer my questions. I'll read it again though.

Have you read Quran?
Reckon you wouldnt want to. Listen to a guy on yt he will fix the evolution for you (One Message Foundation, Shaikh Uthman)

You do understand why religions exist? What created your creator?
/u/serdavos

The question itself who created the creator is false in my eyes.
What i have learned is the creator is the Origin of creation. God is uncreated and eternal.

Thats where islam starts from i guess. There was nothing before God, GOD is everything and there are several facts that'll make you scratch your head that this world was created we were created.

Brave New World is pritty gud.

There's this series of books called Seth Speaks or whatever the fuck, it is alright. Kind of bullshit but still cool
The Bible made me realize how incredibly stupid Christians are.

I learned to read before I went to school. My grandfather bought me a kid's version of Darwin's theory of evolution.

I came home from Sunday School and told my parents that the priest was a liar, and I never wanted to go there again.

I was around six years old when I realized that the invisible man in the sky who created the world in seven days was a stupid fairy story.

Any adult who believes in that shit isn't as intelligent as I was when I was six.

Are you Sheldon Cooper? But seriously I think the same. How is it possible for anyone to be so stupid to believe any of them? Like some 'god' gave humans a rule book after millions of years of evolution. The arrogance of humans makes me sick. Even worse are the religious fanatics who deny evolution/scientific reasoning yet benefit from it and expect us to 'respect' their f***ing religion.
Christians will tell you there are a thousand false gods. I happen to think there are thousand and one.

We nearly believe the same thing.

I had a father who sat me on his lap when he read the newspaper and pointed to the words as he said them.

Love your user name considering your views. Are you a chick?
I'm an Alpha male. We're an endangered species.

There's too much estrogen in the water we drink for us to survive much longer.

I've been using Testosterone to combat its effects for years now.

Every time I go off it, I feel the beta coming out. I fucking hate it.

That's hillarious. Alpha males going extinct. Not very Alpha. Love the irony. But yeah. I agree about the plastics and the effects on fertility. No surprise some people don't know what sex they are.

Sounds like a Ricky Gervais. Although I think he said there are 3000. It's scary to think that people that lack basic reasoning ability are in positions of power. No surprise the world is f**ked. Zen philosophy has a description of how our minds work. The emotional part is the elephant and the frontal cortex is in charge. Mostly it's the monkey in charge of the elephant.
Ricky Gervais is a lot closer to the correct number. I just made up 1000 on the spot.

It's probably closer to 10,000. We worshiped a thousand dick shaped rocks all over the world.

Well that was a head fuck and I rather enjoyed it. I'm going to steal that from you. I will replace 'god' with 'satan' in all my interactions from now on (hope that doesn't dox me - I will blame god). And vice versa obviously. Both mean the same to me. Something imagined that idiots believe.
