What is the best wallet to use if I hold Bitcoin but also need to securely store Monero for buying : DarknetMarketsNoobs | Torhoo darknet markets

I'm looking for a wallet that supports both BTC and XMR, with a strong emphasis on security and privacy. Ideally, it should make it easy to manage both assets without compromising anonymity, and possibly offer built-in tools or integrations for swapping between coins or making anonymous transactions. Hardware wallet support or compatibility is a plus.

I went with Cake wallet but had some performance and connection issues in VM linux (worked find on my regular desktop). This could have been fixed in later updates but the reason I gave up on the single wallet and just used the built in BTC wallet that comes in Whonix and tails electrum and fell in love with the feather wallet for XMR (it has many features and the ui isnt bloated and works so well).

Ill also add my idea that I just needed a single wallet for both isnt as convenient as I originaly visioned it. Logging out of BTC just to enter another password to get into LTC/XMR/whatever doesnt make it more convenient for me than having two different programs for wallets and running them side by side (I liked this better).

Just fuck BTC and LTC all together, swap and keep all coin's in XMR on Feather wallet and secure ur wallet file.

Not to mention, for the drug trade, XMR is still very low in price and not many exchanges/crypto people have accepted it yet, you will be thankful if you hold onto 100 coin's or so in the future.

Cake Wallet is a good beginner friendly wallet for what you're looking for, Exodus wallet is good too

But overall if you want a strong and secure XMR wallet. Feather Wallet is the way to go, it just doesn't support BTC how you need, but I would still recommend checking it out!

Do not use Exodus. It's a closed source wallet with non standard fees.

I've received and sent over 300k out of Exodus and I know people who have touched a M using Exodus for BTC, It's quite fine and the fees aren't bad

It sucks for buying BTC but sending and receiving it is good

I never said it was a scam. I know it works, I've seen fraudsters use it to move 9 figures.
That doesn't mean its the best solution for privacy. It doesn't support xmr anymore, and theres no way to verify what type of telemetry it's sending without access to the source code.
You can't use custom nodes, and you don't have access to advanced features like silent payments.

The fees I mentioned about aren't referencing higher fees, though that is another issue. It's referencing the fact that it has non-standard fees. Most wallets allow you to customize the fees, and default to round numbers, like 2 sats/vB or 2.5 sats/vB for bitcoin. Exodus, on the other hand, uses numbers like 2.2134 with no way to change them. This means transactions sent from Exodus stand out on the blockchain.

As others have mentioned, cake is the only decent multi coin wallet. However, you'll have access to more advanced features using single coin wallets such as electrum and feather. It's also generally better for security, since not supporting coins that you don't use minimizes the attack surface.
