what is the point of lying about shipping? : DarkNetMarkets | Torhoo darknet markets

Why do a good amount of vendors straight up lie about when a pack goes out? I thought possibly for op-sec but the same majority of people doing this offered a tracking number, so couldn't be too worried about their opsec being breached, or they could even just actually ship the pack out then mark it shipped the next day or 2 if anything, not mark it shipped then make client wait days upon days just to even create the label. They will also claim they get busy and stuff sometimes, but then go on to ignore you for the next week or so, and thats honestly another thing yes vendors DO get busy but thats certain vendors, not every-one of these vendors are superstar vendors doing 100+ orders a week lol. i don't know it all seems very foolish and the vendors that do this are genuinely just lazy it seems and nobody really cares when it happens constantly for whatever reason, no shipping company in the continental us takes over 5 days to deliver a package.

So, what's the point?

Because they're unprofessional. There's no other explanation.
100% - Find a good Vendor and stick with them. Easy. Avoids headaches.

Also if a Vendor doesnt have the desired product send them a PM and ask if they could arrange it. Many Vendors can get their hands on stuff which they dont list.

to the vendor's defense... this aint Amazon Prime. This aint legit work! All that matters is getting our orders within a reasonable amount of time.

I think you pretty much answered your own question in your post. I'm sure some slack a bit because they can (maybe they want to appear more professional than they really are), some do it with opsec in mind and others accidentally do it here and there. There are many different reasons.

My only advice is that if you are constantly dealing with vendors who take a long time to ship and it is annoying you, then try to find other vendors who prioritize in shipping quickly. There are vendors out there who go above and beyond for their customers and others that want to get by just doing the bare minimum.

register with usps and you can track any package sent to you without needing their tracking number. You will get the email of tracking sent to you of every package as soon as it is scanned
It depends which vendor you choose

then go on to ignore you for the next week or so

ignore them or better yet block them. find reputable sellers that treat their buyers respectfully

Personally I think it's because they don't have the stock at the time and literally are waiting on their next batch
