What is your most disgraceful OpSec failure? : adda | Torhoo darknet markets

I'm reminiscing about a time when I was young and retarded, and I wonder if anyone can top the sheer magnitude of how badly I messed up as a buyer and a human being

I've cleaned up a lot since then, thank fuck, but long story short I was impatient for a score, and every dealer I'd found by then were grannies who seemed to be afraid of computers and only wanted to deal via sms

The entirety of my OpSec was maybe a five minute period where I was thinking if I should go out and buy a burner phone or sim, then decided it'll be fine if it isn't MY phone, and gave them the number of a dude I barely knew back then, effectively throwing him under the bus with the rationalization "he could probably handle the heat", and gave them a drop spot across the street from my place in full view of anyone with a passing interest

Our main dealer eventually got busted, a clusterfuck ensued, in the end we were left simply hoping that the police were incompetent and the guy wasn't a rat. Mostly it was me and this guy freaking out, we went about creating even more problems, which we had to add to the growing list of things to fix as quickly as possible, all-in-all around two weeks of just the worst possible decisions being made over and over again

In the end we spooked other dealers to the point that our rep in the streets is tainted to this day, we left a huge, red-hot digital and paper trail that screams "these guys are trying to hide their interactions with this specific dealer", got conned three times, and the cherry on top was the two of us getting into a fight that gave me a broken collarbone

So far, it seems we got away with it, but I'm gonna have to live with only that "seems", which isn't the most comfortable thing in the world. We've smoothed out that dick move on my part, I'm sure the fistfight helped, he's one of the homies these days. I don't know if I can call my current OpSec airtight-bulletproof-come-at-me-CIA stuff, but I'm fairly confident that, at least for my current activities, I'm doing way better
