what type of phone does everyone here use? : CafeDread | Torhoo darknet markets

Just curious if there's a type of phone that's more secure/better at dual boot than others. Do most people in here use Apple? Samsung? Or just a base android? Maybe the chinese phones like oppo, oneplus, honor, etc?

I really don't like OLED screens and when I go to the store and look at phones they all just burn my eyes lol. I also tried looking at the nord oneplus but the LCD was so bad in colors. Just curious if there's a phone that's more secure than others and dont have the copilot or google gemini bullshit running all over your files and stuff.
google is gay. use mojeek,, etools.ch, yacy, metager, gigablast, peekier, searx.me, etc..... instead.

Yeah, there is a phone that's secure than every other phone.
Unironically, Google Pixels.

Remove stock OS, get Graphene. (Fuck surveillance)

Even the new ones are good or stick to old models?

Even the new ones are good, look at the officially supported list on Graphene's website.

The best choice for a secure phone is a Google Pixel and GrapheneOS.

When Paris tells me something, I don't argue. Did you look at the link I provided? I'm not going to copy the information from the sub. Go read it yourself.

fuck me, how the hell did that slip by my monstrous gaze.
The full quote is in the /d/OpSec Wiki. /d/OpSec/wiki?id=6ce413e9

I saw him say it, and I knew it was perfect for the OpSec wiki I was making.

That's the Flair I give him in all the subs I mod. Even Satan doesn't argue with God.

try to buy a pixel phone or try something like oneplus or others (check mobiles in lineage os page to verify which models support os and boot related things )

Use Google Pixel. It’s the only phone on which you can install GrapheneOS.

I don't carry a phone because of OpSec paranoia, even with services like Graphene on phones such as the Google Pixel.

I rotate through burner flip phones, no permanent device or number, this seems to work out the best for me.

It seems foolish to carry a device that not only pings your location, but logs your identity every chance it can.
Paranoia is an unreasonable fear. You're not being unreasonable. Distrust and caution are the parents of security.

A laptop that you can boot into Tails via a USB stick is better than any phone.
For example, a user sees a duck on the river and thinks the police have placed a camera in the duck to watch him.

Samung S25+ and iPhone 16 pro max

16 pro max for social media, video and pictures, S25+ for others.

Pc is a mac with windows and tails installed using parallels and external ssd respectively, no cross access into mac.

Best way to stay anon on these phones, ditch google completely and don't use a carrier on it. Always connect to a wifi router where the carrier isn't linked to you. If you wanna make calls, buy a nokia flip phone or one of those chinese ones.

I can't remember the setting on an iPhone that supposedly makes it nearly as secure as a Pixel running Graphene.

For OpSec, I prefer a popular phone that most people usually use. I will also avoid Chinese phones, as I feel they might be spying on me. For OLED screens, reducing the brightness to 10% is very good for battery life and your eyes.

Graphene OS
A Librem 5 with PureOS, plus an OpenPGP card added to store all my Gnupg keys cryptographically secure.
