What's happening with Haveno? : Monero | Torhoo darknet markets

What are our thoughts on the project? It appears that the project has been stagnant for more than 2 years. Any updates?

they released version 1.0.0 on github yesterday, but they're yet to release the binaries. Shouldn't be too long before we get it at last

I appreciate this. The project holds immense promise and could greatly benefit the coin.

Does the 1.0 release mean people can use it on the mainnet?

lot of drama about the rewrite of UI, (like the dev wanted more xmr because of a price drop and decided to stop).
However the repo is actively developed, and they are using bounty to incentives more contribution. It seems to work not too bad.
version 1.0.0 is to test on mainnet, so it is not yet production ready but enough for them to test it in the real blockchain.
For the having binaries at every next releases, someone who wants the bounty already works on it.

not very tech savvy but the project is ambitious to say the least

would not be surprised if project took another 2 years but all good things are worth waiting for

I remember when you had to configure the FireFox browser
if you wanted to get on TOR

I hope someday Haveno runs as smooth as tor does now
