Whats the likelyhood of getting caught? Do any of you have expirence with someone you know getting arrested? : DarknetMarketsNoobs | Torhoo darknet markets
Most people get caught from mistakes they make, so I'd love to hear from anyone who has witnessed anything go wrong.
Recently had a vendor ship a pac, that got caught at customs / international order.
They didn't send it usps & it got caught but anyway. 3 cars pull up to my house full of dhs / detectives. I know one of the cars was the state SBI because of the tag.
Check out Narco710's indictment. His arrest was pretty impressive. One of the better one's i've read as of late.
Also, the icognito market admin who exit scammed / extorted vendors (nice touch) got arrested recently. As well as the bohemia market admins. You can search up most of their arrest indictments publicly
it must've been a large order that made LEO think you were a dealer/vendor, I mean it was international, which usually means people are buying a bulk amount of something. I never trust international orders unless I'm getting a great deal & I'm a vendor, or the products aren't technically illegal (grey area like research chems), and my opsec is truly perfect (beyond the standards of opsec people without tech/computer knowledge talk about). And my address is clear of anything illegal and there's no physical documents or digital devices & drives with any incriminating info in them. Then I might do it, I mean I got a love letter from buying Soma (a 16 pack; 50-100 pills per pack), but nothing more.
So, if all those leo officers came to your address, they must've had some evidence against you.. Maybe not enough to get a warrant, but enough to suspect you had stuff at your address. It's insane how dumb leo are with things like this, don't they know you won't just allow them to search without a warrant? I mean they should know that.
And I'm guessing nothing happend to you after they left. Never came back with a warrant? Judges usually just blindly accept cops warrants, but if the evidence/probable cause was cyber related info, then it makes sense a judge wouldn't allow it as it's too easy for someone to plant the data on your network & computers..
Pack was big enough for them to consider me a bigger "fish" / buyer ... They have no "evidence against me," but they do have suspicion and enough to open an investigation via "probable cause"
Everything will lead to nothing, but I have to sit on my hands for a year or so.
To arrest me? Not yet and hopefully they wont given what I now know and opsec I had in place prior.
But they do have drugs in an evidence locker.
They are probably getting warrants and serving subpoenas to isp's / meta / google / etc. That won't be enough for them to prove "knowingly beyond a reasonable doubt though. Right now, they are looking for anything that will give them probable cause to arrest me i assume. A judge will more than likely sign off on everything they asked for with no evidence, really. It's stupid easily for police to get everything I just mentioned but a judge won't sign off on a warrant to arrest me without more than what they currently have.
It's a huge inconvenience, but that's the risk every time you place an order (especially international) Sometimes, people get lucky and receive "love letters," and sometimes, they get unlucky.
Either way, nothing they get will be of use to them and anything they could have used has now been destroyed or disposed of. Now if I were a dumb ass, or had I done things differently / not followed proper opsec, yeah they would have been able to arrest me.
Use a VPN (mullvad) & only use XMR at minimum. Make sure you are using tails & never get lazy, complacent, or sloppy.

glad you're still free, good opsec if key. Unless they catch you red handed with product it's difficult to convict or even arrest. They could try to say we see that pack x was shipped and delivered on such date, but an address label probably isn't enough. otherwise people would have to worry about getting a knock in may for something ordered in october. but I'm guessing you would have heard more if they had anything by now.
no stories to share but do your homework to stay safe. Be discreet and keep your business to yourself and remember the second mouse gets the cheese. /d/OpSec
really low if you're doing everything decently correct in terms of oopsec (and other common sense things). You can order thousands of packs without ever having one shipment seized. But you could be unlucky & get caught after your 4th or 5th package, then your local PD does a controlled delivery & bust you. Then they makeup a probable cause about something that looks "suspicious" in your house, then they can do a search of your place after waiting for a judge to sign a warrant which only takes ~10-20 mins nowadays due to technology. And they/LEO can literally use anything they see inside your place to create a probable cause to search it.. Like if they claim to see drug paraphernalia, drug residues, etc, that's all they have to say to get a probable cause to search your place. It's best not to open the door because of this little trick those pigs use.
Best to stay inside, if they have a warrant they will announce it. Just clean up anything that's illegal. And encrypt/delete any incriminating Iot/device data & external drives. Or just remove/hide all external drives & HDD/SSD in your computers (replace them with new ones or ones that haven't been used).
Pigs will terrorize you though, so don't treat them like honest government employees, treat them like a gang of people that their main job is to find ways to arrest & charge you with as many charges they can find. I mean really, cops aren't your friends, it's a game/sport to them to make arrests. They'll do anything to maake that happen. But cyber crime isn't the average cops (patrol cops mainly) forte. Even detectives will shy away from that, as it's too complicated for them to try to find things to arrest you for. It would have to be a large police operation, but more likely it would be the state police, a state's Bureau of Investigation (a state's specific FBI agency counterpart, basically the FBI for a state), the actual FBI & other 3-letter agencies, that will do these types of investigations.
I've had run ins with local police/sheriff office in regards to cyber related crime, and they never do much other than attempt to confiscate data storage devices & Iot devices like your computers. I just have so many computers I just replace my main ones with ones I don't use. And they're never the wiser, as I use programs on those PCs that mimic real human activity (browser random internet searches, mouse/click activities, etc). I'll have these programs running at least 3-6 days a week on 3 PCs. So, they believe it's my real PCs. I did these things above to practice my programming/general computer/IT skills in the past. I should really create a bundle repo for these programs, but I would want some money for it, as it would take some weeks to organize all of it and make it easy to setup for each OS platform. But a lot of it was just adding parts of programs meant for other operations, modifying a few things (or sometimes a whole lot), then making it work with my other programs, OS, & my specific setups.
* And my "crimes" that I was being investigated for were in the "hacking"/cybersecurity field, some fraud/scam stuff (97% for fun not money fyi), and local malware attacks against local businesses/people (probably the initial cause). Nothing was about child weirdo stuff. I actually spent time hacking local sex offenders in my area, using spear phishing emails to employ RATs/Trojans of all sorts, keylogs, ransomware, etc, to their computers. It's always the older guys that fall for those emails (40s-70s) lolzz
