WiFi cut out while using TOR (VPN in the background) Question about TOR over VPN vs VPN over TOR : OpSec | Torhoo darknet markets

I use Mullvad VPN every time i log in it auto connects...

COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED...

One day while i was on TOR my WiFi & VPN cut out and i was still on TOR. then WiFi / VPN reconnects...

--- Should i be concerned that TOR was open while my WiFi was OFF then ON ???

--- Should i even use a VPN before getting on TOR , like is it just not worth the risk cuz it might cut out ???

It is not recommended to use any sort of VPN while browsing on TOR. The routing from TOR provides enough anonymity. Coupling TOR with a VPN removes layers of that anonymity.

Please, do explain what layers it removes.

If it does cut out and you don't have a proper killswitch set up, the worst that could happen is that your isp now knows you use tor.
In most free countries, this isn't an issue.

You don't lose anything by connected to a trusted vpn such as mullvad before using tor. They claim not to keep logs, which is already infinitely better than your isp, which openly does.
